Back to Denim with Forever 21 Spring 2016 Collection

Every girl in their 20s is going crazy, because Forever 21 has released the much-expected ad campaign for the spring 2016 collection! What’s in the news? Denim!

A few designers have also given a preference to this never-gets-old fabric, but Forever 21 is special in so many ways. Have you ever visited their stores on Christmas Eve? If you want to see which stores and brands are popular with what demographic, Christmas and New Year are the best times to find it out, because the malls are conquered by last minute shoppers. And last minute shoppers, of course, usually pick the brands they are loyal to. So, guess what! Forever 21 is always packed with the young demographic that also falls for denim… the new denim generation!

Forever 21 Spring 2016 Collection

The new Forever 21 spring 2016 collection gives us all the essentials for the upcoming season. Denim is one of the most popular fabrics that almost everyone has in their wardrobes, that’s no secret. And it has been on trend for the past few seasons, so we’re glad that some brands continue using it in their collections because we just can’t have enough of it.

Forever 21 has denim in all forms – flared jeans, high-waist shorts inspired by the ‘70s, pencil skirts and jackets all in denim! Interestingly, when it comes to the bottoms, Forever 21 went with darker shades of denim blue, keeping the light versions for jackets only. Moreover, it’s not like we’ve seen this brand using the grunge and street style look very often, but this time some of the denim pieces seem to be way too clean. A little sexy, a little preppy, a little grunge, and a spoonful of the ‘70s. Now mix that all in a bowl and you have the new Forever 21 collection for this spring. Not bad, huh?

The color palette is very simple, mainly featuring white, black, blue in denims, and caramel brown (we should start calling this shade cowboy brown). The designs are not heavy or demanding, they will be easy to mix and match and comfortable to wear for many occasions.

The models keep it playful as always. We’ve got some of our favorite names on the list here – Cayley King, Marloes Horst, Courtney Eaton, and Jonathan Bellini. All looking very cool, young, and ready to take on the world. You can’t miss the dynamic vibes coming from the images, even if you’re long past your 30s.

Thanks to Zoey Grossman for capturing the campaign and Ashley Glorioso for styling the looks for us. We loved your work and can’t wait to get the pieces and style our own spring in Forever 21 outfits. So stay young at heart, shop Forever 21, and let the crazy take over you… because that’s what youth is all about.
