Free People Holiday 2015 Hippie-Chic Lookbook

Approaching the holidays with a bohemian mood, model Genevieve Rokero is the face of the Free People holiday 2015 lookbook, the hippie-chic vibes of which will definitely make you feel warm and at ease. It’s high time to shop these cozy and cool essentials on FreePeople.com and get into the Christmas spirit now! Whenever the temperature drops, Free People knows that comfort is the key and that’s why its new lookbook combines boho-chic pieces with loungewear, showing Rokero pose in California while wearing some simple, yet very stylish boho-chic looks.

Free People Holiday 2015 Hippie-Chic Lookbook

Lensed by Los Angeles-based photographer Graham Dunn, who has already worked with Free People before, the blonde beauty effortlessly poses in country-chic denim overalls, as well as furry hats, perfectly matching her looks with the center-parted beachy wavy hair and the au naturel makeup (styled by Tony Vin and Jenna Kristina accordingly). For this story Free People focuses on casual outerwear looks, which are basically meant for chilling out with friends and family during these long-awaited Christmas holidays. That’s also why the collection mainly features oversized pieces, which don’t however give up on style, femininity and sensuality.

The latest Free People holiday 2015 lookbook also radiates an overall naïve allure, which Rokero ethereally showcases thanks to the over-the-knee socks, loose white dresses and oversized knitted sweaters. Ethnic prints charm us, treating us with some laid-back oversized tunics and maxi hoodies, the latter of which look absolutely perfect with all those denim pieces. If cutouts and side splits are the main protagonists, denim is surely no less so, exploring many outerwear looks that could be worn all the way from December to May. Besides the overalls, Free People chose to capture Rokero wearing a mini denim dress, with short sleeves, matching it with a pair of over-the-knee boots that should be found in anyone’s shoe rack.

The same pair of boots comes back again in what could be regarded as the perfect holiday’s picture: Rokero, wearing an oversized off-shoulder comfy sweater, warms herself up in front of a little fireplace. If you think that loungewear cannot radiate sensual vibes, think twice! Oversized military jackets and striped maxi cardigans complete the majority of the outfits, letting you play more with style according to what you feel like wearing in the morning.

To top it all off, Rokero wears the perfect chunky knit scarves, which are so big and warm one could literally keep them on until the first daisies blossom. And chunky are even some hippie ankle boots, also known as the inevitable pair of shoes any boho-chic girl possesses. The collection also has knitted slippers, the cozy and utterly cute nature of which will make you eventually wonder why one couldn’t go out wearing them.
