Free People Holiday 2013 Lookbook

The famous American bohemian fashion retailer Free People has released a new holiday lookbook featuring American model and face of Maybelline Charlotte Kemp Muhl. In this new shoot, captured by Anthony Nocella, Charlotte appears to us as an eccentric woman with a distinct fashion sense, as somebody who’s not afraid to combine dark colors and bright red, striped shirts and shiny accessories and vests. She goes from a casual urban outfitter with everyday casual clothes to a Goth girl with dark hair, dark blue tank top and dark nail polish.

In order for printed pants and a basic black tank top not to appear too simple, the image of an urban woman is complemented with a metallic vest, gold-colored accessories, shiny high-heeled shoes and a fedora hat, again in dark colors.
The Free People holiday 2013 lookbook also features dresses, which can be worn both when going to a party or when just taking a casual stroll. The urban side of Free people becomes more visible in photographs with a bridge backdrop. Nocella managed to emphasize the dark colors of Kemp Muhl’s outfit by providing an even darker backdrop, which, in this case, is the silhouette of the bridge. Charlotte is seen wearing a striped black and white dress combined with all sorts of accessories, again in dark colors. The white stripes of the dress serve as means of saving the image and the whole look in general from appearing too dark and gloomy. Knee-length brown combat boots with shiny, gold-colored buckles are matched with a chic necklace, shiny zippers of the woolen jacket and other accessories, such as simple metallic bracelets and a ring.

The hair and makeup of Charlotte are done perfectly as well! Just like the sparkling accessories of the Free People holiday 2013 collection, the golden eyeshadow too keeps the image from becoming too bleak. Wavy dark hair gives the image a wild, carefree and independent look. Overall, if you are on the hunt for the ideal holiday look, the Free People holiday 2013 lookbook serves as a perfect source of inspiration for you, providing you with fresh ideas not only in terms of fashion, but also carefree and comfy beauty!
