Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger Renew Their Partnership For Two More Seasons

Tommy Hilfiger proudly announced that Gigi Hadid is going to be a Tommy girl for two more seasons. The influential fashion model has two successful collections with Hilfiger so far and is about to create her next collection for Fall 2017. Gigi is going to continue to be Tommy Hilfiger’s brand ambassador for their womenswear that includes apparel, accessories, watches and shoes.

Her previous carnival-inspired collections got a lot of media attention and attracted many new customers to the brand. For Gigi’s debut collection autumn/winter 2016, Hilfiger organized a special pop-up presentation at NYC’s Pier ’16 that was transformed into a “Tommy Pier” for the purposes of the show.

Their second collection was breathing in the spirit of a ’70s Californian hippie girl and was presented in Venice Beach in February this year. The show was attended by more than 3,000 people including A-listers such as Lucky Blue Smith, Jerry Hall, Lady Gaga and Elizabeth Jagger. The guests were entertained by Fergie and the musical duo Lion Babe.

Both collections were part of Hilfiger’s see-now-buy-now initiative called Tommy Now. The collections were available for purchase immediately after their presentation in more than 70 countries in the world. Gigi Hadid was traveling all around the globe to promote their designs and engage with her fans.

About their renewed partnership Tommy Hilfiger said:

Tommy Hilfiger’s CEO added that their partnership with the 22-year old model and fashion influencer exceeded everyone’s expectations and connected the brand to the much younger consumer base. Additionally, the company benefited with double-digit sales growth and gained more exposure in social media.

Tommy Hilfiger’s past collaborations with celebrities include Beyonce, David Bowie, Naomi Campbell, Iman, Zooey Deschanel, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. The partnership with Gigi was the first time a celebrity shared the label and co-designed the line together with Hilfiger.
