Gigi Hadid In Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2016 Ad Campaign

Tommy Hilfiger made a stand as an island worth of nautical fashion flowed confidently down his runway this year. Watching the Tommy Hilfiger fall 2016 runway show gave one a sense of being the little mermaid, longing to be part of that world, but we, of course, know that all it takes is the purchase of an item and it is indeed ours to touch, cherish and wear as we navigate on land. Tommy Hilfiger’s fall 2016 ad campaign featuring Gigi Hadid is no less rich in color or texture, leading us to wonder how the lure was so expertly baited to keep us interested.

Gigi Hadid heads up this campaign in a variety of incredibly wearable looks that still feature a noticeable nautical aesthetics while still allowing you to not stand out negatively the further inland you go. Gigi along with the other equally beautiful model – Francisco Lachowski, pull off one alluringly casual look after another.

Shoes are comfortable and doable ranging from white Tommy Hilfiger sneakers to platform sandals on Gigi Hadid. The Silk Nautical Tattoo Dress and Painted Paisley dress look like a dream to wear. I can see Women in several age groups wearing the Tommy Hilfiger Painted Anchor Sweatshirt.

The coats are beautiful, the luxury of them leaping from the pages so well you can almost feel the softness of the material against your skin. Gigi also wears a pair of high waisted dark wash jeans with wide legs, paired with a laced-up floating top and a great hat, completing her look. Everything is wearable and easy-to-style personally, which is just another bonus of the brand.

Tommy Hilfiger is known for creating easy-to-wear ready-to-wear collections that do carry over the themes from his runway shows flawlessly, and each piece typically has a partner that it matches with exceptionally well. Every piece typically slides seamlessly into another wardrobe with no muss and no fuss.

This fluidity of the brand to fit into people’s personal style is not just a statement made by the appearance of Gigi Hadid or the overall Tommy Hilfiger fall 2016 ad campaign, but a highlight of the brand that makes it such a long lasting and accessible one. Both Gigi and Francisco worked every look, every accessory, every shoe, every dreamy coat, but it is not just a show of their modelling skills, it is a steadfast and noteworthy part of this brand.

Overall the ad campaign is amazing, the color scheme and styling as complementary as they could get with the most minimal of details in the surroundings used to enhance the nautical theme in the story of the photos. Another point to Tommy Hilfiger would be that the ad was just as alluring to women as men, and was based on the clothes: not a single trace of Francisco Lachowski being used as just an accessory or Gigi Hadid being used as just a sex symbol could be found.
