High-end fashion label Givenchy decided to keep things simple in the newest Givenchy spring/summer 2013 campaign in order to focus our attention on the stunning designs from the brand’s new season collection. Top models Kate Moss, Mariacarla Boscono and artist Marina Abramovic front the newest campaign of the brand, captured by Mert & Marcus. In a myriad of black and white photos, the three iconic women showcase the no-less iconic outfits styled by Carine Roitfeld.
The Givenchy spring/summer 2013 campaign is a brilliant example of minimalist, yet highly impressive looks that go “back to the roots”, as designer Riccardo Tisci said at the Fashion Week after his show. This means a high dose of the ‘60s vibe, classiness, femininity and elegance, smart pieces that flash a little skin over here or there through the organza ruffles used on the shoulders or in the middle of the back resembling angel wings. The designer pictured the extremely feminine and fashionable “Givenchy nun” for the spring 2013 season, who is also sexy and modern.
The Givenchy spring/summer 2013 collection is all about versatile shades of black and white, as well as grays and baby blues. The line also includes some Catholic notes, such as the priest collars, voluminous bishop sleeves, or the dry blazers and pants resembling church vestments. Gold chockers, plastic and leather heels complement these one-of-a-kind looks. No wonder, the Givenchy spring/summer 2013 collection makes every fashion-forward woman strive to be a “Givenchy nun” this year!
