Gwyneth Paltrow for Lindex’s ‘Modern Preppy’ Spring 2012 Campaign

A mesmerizing smile, silky blonde locks and a parade of uber-fashionable clothes and fashion accessories are the main ingredients that can make a fashion campaign successful. Take one famous and beautiful actress and a successful fashion label and you’ll reveal the most fashionable recipe. Gorgeous Gwyneth Paltrow looks simply irresistible and unmatchable in the latest Lindex ‘Modern Preppy’ spring 2012 campaign, demonstrating some of the most alluring fashion pieces from the Swedish retailer’s collection.
The 39-year-old actress and style icon was selected as the new face of the brand not only for her great style, but also for her positive and bright personality.

“It’s simply great that Gwyneth Paltrow will be modelling the new collection. She is a fashion icon, synonymous with the Modern Preppy concept, which makes her perfect for this role. She also personifies the Lindex brand in an exceptional way because she is such a positive, warm and energetic person. We are overjoyed,” stated Johan Hallin, Director Concept & Marketing at Lindex.
Speaking about the newest Lindex collection, Gwyneth reveals that these are the types of clothes she wears every day. “I really love the clothes! I would never represent a brand that I wouldn’t wear myself. I love the top and shorts that I was photographed wearing, as well as the chinos and blazer. These are the kinds of clothes that I wear everyday. I also love stripes and I wear striped clothing practically all the time,” the actress confesses.
For creating this beautiful campaign, Lindex was inspired from the elegance and style of some of the areas on the USA’s East Coast. According to the brand, “the campaign was inspired by the sporty, relaxed lifestyle that is characteristic of USA’s East Coast gems, such as Long Island and the Hamptons, yet with a certain Scandinavian touch. The combination results in a fresh, new feeling.”

The Lindex ‘Modern Preppy’ spring 2012 collection, which will be available for purchase starting March 21, features a line of super-stylish goodies, described as modern preppy with a slight twist”. Special attention to details, an unexpected makeover through sequins, gold buttons and eye-catching color combos are the main techniques the brand has used for making all those chinos, club blazers and cable-knit sweaters so spectacular and fabulous.
Color wise, the collection features vibrant spring shades, such as orange and grass green. You can also dare to stand out by opting for plaids, tiny polka dots and stripes in eye-popping hues. All the looks are finished off with matchy accessories, including canvas bags, precious jewelry and espadrilles. No wonder, the entire Lindex ‘Modern Preppy’ spring/summer 2012 collection has been designed especially for unique and creative fashionisers.
