H&M Spring 2016 Campaign Goes Boho Chic

Daisies are blossoming and the days are getting longer, and it’s time for the fashion industry to unveil the latest spring 2016 campaigns and stylish wardrobe proposals. One of the latest brands, which delighted us with a fresh springy campaign is H&M, a.k.a. one of the world’s most beloved high-street retailers. Fast-fashion companies have been, in fact, increasing enormously their sales since earlier last year, and H&M, along with Zara (and in general most of the Inditex properties), is one of the best selling companies all around the world.

One of H&M’s greatest mainstays is that the Swedish retailer manages to perfectly embody each season’s hottest trends, always adding some cool Scandinavian touches here and there that honestly never go wrong and that we can’t get enough of. For its spring 2016 campaign, starring beauties Rianne van Rompaey and Mica Arganaraz, H&M chose to go fully boho, intertwining some of the most iconic Seventies vibes with funky street-style details as well. What’s even better is that, among the many looks, there are some statement pieces too, meaning that if you are looking for a specific staple or a trendy shirt instead of a whole new outfit, you’ll easily find it in any H&M bricks-and-mortar and online store.

As said, the H&M spring 2016 collection takes us back to the Seventies, where the fabrics were breezy and the figures less curve-hugging. That said, the line mainly features waistless tunics, long and midi frocks and, of course, an array of denim staples. From shirts to jackets and skirts, the collection is filled with denim designs, meant to be paired with flat lace-up sandals, exquisitely beaded belts and rusty orange shirts. The rusty orange color is actually a recurring motif in the lookbook, as it could be easily found both within the many solid-colored staples and the colorful accessories as well.

H&M’s accessory line is in fact particularly intriguing at this time, covering anything one needs from rectangular clutches and rounded dangling earrings to belts, all meant to be mixed both with the collection’s outfits or any kind of hippie, casual-chic or even athleisure-inspired outfit one may already own.

As far as the prints go, on the other hand, H&M particularly focused on retro geometric patterns. Lace delicately adorns most of the short-sleeved t-shirts, making them look astounding both on casual outfits and even more romantic ones. It embellishes most of the midi frocks too, adding a fancier touch to the entire collection.

H&M’s spring must-have is however the mid-calf, A-line and pleated button-up skirt, which is basically what one needs to perfectly embrace this year’s hottest trend. It is quite simple yet eye-catching at the same time, and goes along pretty well with any kind of t-shirt and cardigan. Other equally interesting must-haves include billowy off-shoulder blouses and beaded button-down shirts, to wear both with tank tops underneath or with one of H&M’s white, cozy trousers.
