H&M Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week

The H&M spring/summer 2014 collection took the runway at New York Fashion Week by storm with its charming boho creations that simply make the spectators crave for spring 2014 to finally be able to don those to-die-for pieces! After debuting their runway show in Paris for their fall 2013 collection, the Swedish high street retailer designers woke up to the fact that organizing an NYFW intimate presentation in the SoHo district for their new warm season line may be a smarter decision than firming their positions in Paris. As H&M head of design Ann-Sofie Johansson explains this decision, “The U.S. is one of our most important markets.” Well, besides this, the famous company finally launched e-commerce in the US back in August and is now planning to open the world’s biggest H&M store in Herald Center in fall 2014!

The new H&M spring/summer 2014 collection doesn’t consist of too many or too elaborate pieces, but just a couple of mesmerizing looks that make you wish to see more of the upcoming collection of everyone’s favorite affordable brand. The new H&M pieces brings charming bohemian vibes infused with Seventies styles and a rock ‘n’ roll allure. As Johansson explains it: “I love the personality at H&M this spring. Style is about expression and creating your own personal wardrobe. New, urban tomboy essentials and boho separates allow today’s woman to become their own icon.”
The main colors of the lovely H&M spring 2014 collection include versatile blacks and whites, but also soft midnight blues and earth shades that look so calming and classy. There are lots of tassels, fringe, ruffles, embroidery and lace used to add a dose of personality to these fluid tunics, airy maxi dresses, biker jackets, girlish mini dresses, simply shirts and cotton bombers.

Every little bit of the H&M spring/summer 2014 collection is made to seduce and to prove that this is the ultimate high street brand to follow to look like a trendsetter escaped from the catwalk, without going bankrupt at all! So yeah, viva H&M!
