ICB by Prabal Gurung Fall/Winter 2013-2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week

It’s so interesting to discover two different fashion lines coming from one and the same designer and see how two different inspiration sources can lead to absolutely distinct looks. Prabal Gurung is one of those designers, who manage to create something distinct and wow-worthy every time.

ICB by Prabal Gurung Fall/Winter 2013-2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week

While the Prabal Gurung fall/winter 2013-2014 collection unveiled during New York Fashion Week was inspired from the U.S. military body armor, the ICB (International Concept Brand) line of the designer takes a totally different path. The ICB by Prabal Gurung fall/winter 2013-2014 collection brings chic, cold season ready attire options that every sassy girl is sure to love to wear during the new fall season.

Actually, Prabal Gurung is having a moment now. The designer not only managed to design two wow-worthy collections, but also presented his second, ICB, line as a live runway show for the first time this year. The ICB by Prabal Gurung fall/winter 2013-2014 collection showed an array of strong outerwear, such as fur-accented coats that were worn over tunic dresses, chunky knits, blouses and pants in a spectacular scarf print. The coats came in a simpler structures and milder, more versatile colors.

The ICB by Prabal Gurung fall/winter 2013-2014 collection also showed lessons of much dressier styling, bringing chic tuxedo jackets, pencil skirts, tailored pants and sophisticated tops. The outfits came styled with fluffy fur scarves, leather gloves in contrasting cobalt blues, as well as versatile grays and blacks, peep-toe high-heeled leather ankle boots and high-heeled strappy sandals and waist-accentuating belts.

While the first line of Prabal Gurung may seem too mature and sophisticated for an ordinary fashioniser, the ICB by Prabal Gurung fall/winter 2013-2014 collection comes to be maximum wearable and easy.
