ICB Spring/Summer 2015 Collection – New York Fashion Week

The ICB spring/summer 2015 collection stays true to the roots of this brand, bringing playful sporty vibes to New York Fashion Week spring 2015. “it’s more relaxed, with more color,” Gurung said backstage before the show, talking about his lightweight collection full of loosened silhouettes and mainly sporty separates designed to polish the style of a city girl. Both in terms of the color palette chosen and the design shapes presented, the ICB by Prabal Gurung spring 2015 rtw collection has wearable and comfy imprinted all over!

The show started with total white looks, featuring an interesting play of breezy see-through materials used for a peekaboo effect. After a couple of total black and black-and-white duos, we saw the key detail of the entire collection, being the fringe, which was used to add movement to the sporty chic designs. Applied to tweed dresses, tops, skirts and a number of cocktail dresses, they looked like dripping off the fabrics.

In terms of the color palette, the ICB by Prabal Gurung spring/summer 2015 collection looked modest and versatile, bringing whites, blacks, denim blues, teal, melon and light blue shades. Of course, the checkered motifs were also there (if it’s not gingham, it’s something checkered and geometric this season). Some watercolor floral patterns injected interest to a couple of dresses, a long skirt and a structured oversize blazer.

Chambray is the next protagonist in the ICB by Prabal Gurung spring/summer 2015 collection, being used for a number of shirts, shirt-dresses and pants, all in the same loose and sporty style. After demonstrating some eveningwear-worthy dresses, the show ended with black-and-white duos embellished with windowpane checkered patterns that added smartness to the collection.

In terms of accessories used, we can mention the sporty platform sandals only: no jewelry and no bags were used to finish off the looks, this way laying the focus on the simplicity of the line and the curious designs demonstrated. The models’ hair was left loose and the makeup was kept minimal to capture the entire effortless chic essence of the show.

This is definitely one of the easiest and coolest collections launched at New York Fashion Week this year, and we are sure to see lots of pieces from this line sported by trendsetter girls to show off their immaculate taste in casual fashion.
