Isabel Marant Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Paris Fashion Week

Tough boyish attitudes mixed with romantic girly vibes make up the Isabel Marant spring/summer 2014 collection. “It’s the contrast of two ideas that I’m always trying to work with”, this is how Isabel explains the main idea. Thus, this clarifies everything from the strict and manly looks to the sweet and cute outfits capable of fascinating any girly fashioniser and making her simply fall in love with this line. The garments and all the accompanying details are chosen very delicately, having a slight retro touch, but being absolutely modernized and cool.

The new Isabel Marant collection starts with a super short dress combined with a matching jacket, still put in classic black and white theme. Leather is one of the key fabrics here, coming out in the form of cropped pants, tops, shorts, skirts, or just belts. The lace details widely used in the line are another descriptive aspect of the Isabel Marant spring/summer 2014 collection. These are found with small proportions on many of the dresses, skirts, and even pants.
The bateau motives making the cutest looks of the garments are found here, too, put on sweet and short dresses and tops, at time represented with halters and nice jackets. The shorts-top-jacket combos very frequently appeared on the runway, as well. Coming to the dresses, which started to appear on the runway comparably more often during the second part of the show, we can mention the cute motives of floral designs found on some ultra-beautiful and sweet dresses in yellow, cream and orange shades, at times having those small belts as a final touch.

The sequins used all over some pants and even dresses add a specific chic and glamorous effect to the apparels. The bold V-necks are there for the alluring and feminine looks. Finally, we can’t but mention the perfectly matching boots, having mainly leather interpretations and sequined details at times.
Another successful mishmash of manly and girly looks is on the runway of Paris Fashion Week. This collection can be, in fact, a good resource for any girly fashioniser to become the real cutie pie of the upcoming season!
