After witnessing elegant and luxurious collections during the fourth day of Paris Fashion Week spring 2015 it is time to kick back and enjoy the casual and everyday pieces designed by French designer Isabel Marant. The Isabel Marant spring/summer 2015 collection brought pretty causal clothing pieces with a tribal feel that popped out instantly. Marant’s eponymous brand is designed for young, modern and stylish people, who appreciate not only the looks and the quality, but also the comfort. Mrs. Marant seems to be on a quest to find beauty in the casual and the trends proposed by the brand Isabel Marant are easy to pull off and at the same time very likely to draw attention.
The Isabel Marant spring/summer 2015 collection almost entirely consisted in mini dresses and skirts designed to be worn out in the street, when going to a party, a social event or when taking a casual evening stroll. The collection was easy, light, nothing too complicated or intricate, just how we like it. The color palette mainly consisted of black and white (oh these two colors are going to be THE trend next season, we can already feel it), as well as shades of maroon and orange.
The Marant procession started with layered pleated skirts made of leather combined with black and white patterned sleeveless tops, then we saw loose black jackets with wide leather belts, netty white pants with matching cropped sleeve tops with belts around the waists, a chic combination of high waisted pleated skirts with same color short-sleeved tees, white mini dresses slashed to the waist, high neckline short-sleeved leather mini dresses, white capris with matching wide cropped sleeve tops with ropelike belts around the waists. Of more loosely tailored pieces we saw fringy long-sleeved dresses, short-sleeved tops with fringes around hems and up on the front, loosely knitted thin tops in beige with matching high waisted cotton shorts and so on.
Marant, keeping the boho chic style, presented skirts and tops in dark maroon and orange (quite a combination, huh?). The pieces were youthful, light and casually stylish. Marant had used lots of layering in dresses and skirts and topped cropped pants with leather jackets covered in thin fringes all over.
As a more mysterious and somewhat elegantly sophisticated way of ending her show, Isabel showcased a whole arrangement of dresses, pants and tops in black. Lace pants were combined with spaghetti strap knitted tops, thin sweaters were worn with layered fringy skirts, simple black tube mini dresses were adorned with ruffles around shoulders, and a silky shimmery material had been used to design a one-shoulder drape dress.
The looks from the Isabel Marant spring/summer 2015 collection lacked accessories (not that we complain), probably another technique to have the attention of onlookers specifically directed towards outfits. The footwear included black leather gladiator sandals (we literally crave those) that complemented the looks perfectly.
Are you one of those Boho-chic enthusiasts? Do you think that clothes first of all must be comfortable? Do you love everything indie, tribal and hipster? Then Isabel Marant is your go-to lady!
