New and unexpected turns happen in the world of fashion! Saying unexpected we do mean that in the proper sense of the word! We were just shocked after looking through the spanking new Jean Paul Gaultier Couture fall/winter 2014-2015 collection, but the reason for our amazement were not only the gothic inspired pieces and hairstyles having created an overall quite dark, and well, scary looks, but also the culmination of the show, marked with the appearance of Eurovision Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst on the runway presenting the bridal piece of the designer! This was, in fact, more than just unpredictable!
Thus, the show started with the all-black leather with furry details, adorned with extravagant headwear accessories and sassy with classy leather gloves. The amazingly chic and voluminous collars running through the outerwear garments topping classic white shirts should also be noted here. The same can be said about the other combinations decorated with the houndstooth pepita patterns and designed as pairs of jackets, miniskirts and pants. The interpretations including red and black looks should also be included in the list of the best looks, especially when coming spiced up with the gothic pale makeup and extravagant hairstyles.
The mishmashes of classic and sporty looks styled into uber imaginative and not-for-everyone combos featuring sporty pants tucked into stiletto heels were the next scandalous pair in this line. Other perfect all-black looks include combos with white kerchiefs around the face and some more explicit variants made with a white shirt and finished off with chic white pearls. Stripes, furry apparel options and full silhouettes were all in for the coming looks, too.
Transparency plays created with gray tones and at times also accompanied with scrupulous lace textures can’t be missed out of the list, either. The same can be said about the glittery black alternatives and the black with golden looks, spiced up with freely hanging fringes. The following silver looks reached such a level of sophistication that they even had the absolutely same silver shade for the hair, too. In addition, the other ways of putting the transparency plays also came with huge chain prints all over the full silhouettes of floor length princess type gowns, which made up an image of a fairy tale witch!
Finally, there went Conchita with the black with red dress, adorned with a red belt on the waist and red details running along the waistline in the forms of fringes. Thus, if you love scandalous and super surprising fashion events, the Jean Paul Gaultier Couture fall/winter 2014-2015 fashion show has a lot to tell you!
