La Perla is a well-known and well-loved brand for several reasons and we saw many of them on the La Perla spring/summer 2017 presentation during Milan Fashion Week. There were gowns and pantsuits that stood out as much as the lingerie and shapewear shown.
The La Perla brand is famous for being the best, beautifully designed and presented, perfectly working on the female form and a staple feminine brand. The presentation by the brand’s current creative director Julia Haart was exciting, as he showed off several different variables for a woman’s day to day, from work to relaxing and each one was strikingly well done and really delightful.
There are expertly tailored multi-piece sets in the La Perla spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection that are perfect for a day out, brunch, or work. Gowns, dresses and undergarments were presented with perfectly subtle flair. The collection as a whole was very feminine and detailed.
The accessories included sequined clutches, animal print handbags, beautiful hats and very complementary shoes. There were slides, kitten heels, stilettos and sandals in bright and subtle colors to go with every look.
The separates showed well, shimmering under the light in some cases in beautiful colors. The tailoring was exquisitely done, very detailed and worked incredibly well with the patterns and silhouettes.
The cuffs and collars of a floor-length printed dress had a wonderful effect of pulling the details out of the pattern, enhancing not only the pattern, but also the cut of the dress. The dress has a button-up closure style, which allowed for an open neckline and thigh-high split that can be adjusted based on the comfort of the wearer.
An embellished empire waisted jumper featured a deep V-neckline and tailored pants in a beautiful cream color. Another beautifully embellished jumper featured a sweetheart neckline and wide legged pants in a dreamy blue.
The bathing suits were fun and different, bringing the talented detail oriented work La Perla is known for to make them flattering as well. There are several beautiful gowns and day pieces and even pajamas and the expected undergarments.
The undergarments are beautiful and delicate, supportive and incredibly well made, which has been the standard for the brand since Ada Masotti began the brand in 1954. The provocative brand is well known for providing dependable and beautiful garments for women that are elegant, refreshing and dependable.
The clothing options were charismatic without being overtly stimulating as one would expect from a lingerie brand and again – each piece was strikingly well tailored. There were plenty of options for anyone interested in wearing a La Perla spring 2017 item.
