Lanvin Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Paris Fashion Week

This is something more than the words ‘shiny’ and ‘glamorous’ can describe. That’s the new Lanvin spring/summer 2014 collection presented at Paris Fashion Week. Alber Elbaz, the designer of the line turned the runway into a huge dance floor with disco lights and glitter on. This effect is reached with the help of the most suitable lamé fabrics, specifically prepared tulle, and silk. The impression is a real awe-inspiring one!

Every single piece of the Lanvin spring/summer 2014 collection is a shiny one. It looks like the fabrics can even shine out in the darkest midnights. The color palette of the collection is just as concrete and suitable with the shapes, being interpreted as violet, gold, silver, green, coral and yellow shades, at times interrupted with shades of mystique black as well. The belts being quite wide and massive, tightly fastening the waists of the super cute knee and tea length dresses, as well as the cute and small scarves put with some compositions, gift the garments with the awesome finalizing touch, so necessary for each piece. The slightly oversized jackets paired with knee length dresses are probably the most well going solution for them.
The draping technique, which creates the asymmetrical shapes of the garments, is a real masterpiece, without which the Lanvin spring/summer 2014 collection would lose so much. The main shapes of the skirts, which are seen in the combos, are the trumpets, which appear from time to time and look really cute. It’s here that the jumpsuits appear with their cool and sporty shapes, followed by a supercool coat-scarf combo. The skirts having double splits are another spectacular part of the collection.

Seeing ‘spectacular’, we immediately have the image of the ultra-beautiful bow ties, with oversized motives and wonderful weightless effect. The sexual looks, best acquired with V-necks are also present here. The floor length motives are few, but the best exemplification of it is the sumptuous floor length dress with a bold split, a long scarf, and a cool jacket on.
The halters are the next specific details of the pieces, which act for the feminine looks. Finishing up with the new Lanvin accessories, we notice them being heavy and carrying the star and heart motives most often.
Here we see a glamorous and interesting presentation of shiny metallic colors with shapes being just as fabulous and cool. Looking for unique and striking looks, than the Lanvin spring/summer 2014 collection is just for you!
