‘Denims aplenty’ is one of this and next year’s fashion mantras, as proven also by the abounding number of collaborations many designers are embracing regarding the coziest staple of all. One of the latest is that of Lara Stone and Frame Denim, who just teamed up together and are about to launch a supermodel-approved 9-piece dream array of jeans and other denim staples that is just what any denim-lover needs to gloriously face the next 12 months.
The Lara Stone x Frame Denim capsule collection includes everything from skinny jeans to denim miniskirts, and features price tags that range from $179 to $349. Each piece bears a piece of Lara Stone’s personal style, which Stone herself describes as casual. To add even more supermodel-approved vibes, however, Lara Stone looked up to one of her lifetime icons, Kate Moss.
“I think my personal style is quite simple,” the Dutch model told Vogue. “I’m usually happiest in some jeans and a hoodie, and that’s what I brought to the collection. […] It all came about when I decided that there are not enough clothes that have my name on them […]I think my denim style icon is probably Kate [Moss], for obvious reasons. You know, everything from her first denim ads to her always in her skinny jeans is great,” she continued.
Creating a capsule collection with Frame Denim must have felt natural for the Dutch beauty, as the relationship between Lara Stone and Frame is a longtime friendship, mutually and frequently celebrated by both parts.
Lara Stone and Frame Denim’s founder Erik Torstensson and Jens Grede met for the first time in 2008, and have never stopped amazing us ever since. Stone often starred in Frame’s ad campaigns, and is one of the label’s brand ambassadors. Torstensson and Grede even threw an intimate Dutch-themed party to celebrate the iconic model back in March, which resulted in a big buzz on the main social media platforms.
Being so close to one another, we predict Torstensoon, Grede and Stone’s collection is going to be pretty balanced in terms of styles and figures, as both Stone’s casual-chic allures and Frame’s notorious coziness surely worked together harmoniously.
While talking with Vogue, Stone also revealed the collection has a one-of-a-kind particular feature, which gave her a hard time and in return aroused our curiosity. “The most exciting and the most difficult part [of the collaboration] involves orange. I love orange,” cryptically said Stone. “Everyone else doesn’t love orange.” Should we expect orange denim miniskirts?
The Lara Stone x Frame denim capsule collection launches November 16th, and you can grab your favorites from Frame-Store.com.
