Top Street Style Looks from London Fashion Week Fall 2016

The London Fashion Week fall 2016 has been a hoot bringing with it some rather lovely street styles that had very little to do with the presentation happening indoors. While it was freezing cold, the ladies certainly would not be deterred from looking their best, donning on clothing that showed off exactly who they are. It included everything from leggy outfits with slits up the thighs to sheer dresses using laser cuts, lace and embroidery, bright colors and simpler designs, looking exactly like winter moving into the spring season.

We rather enjoyed seeing the baby pinks on the first day of the shows, along with the feathery amethyst coats, the round glasses and wooly sweaters tucked into pleated hot pink skirts. We really fell in love with that one powder pink pantsuit though that whispered the arrival of spring in a demure fashion. Though the funniest was probably the handbag spotted with the word THIEF added on top.

Come the second day, we already began to see some interesting black chokers, lots of leather skirts and sneakers, along with tailored pinstripe pieces, boucle shorts and gorgeous thigh-high boots. There were a whole lot of short hems happening, but we also saw some pretty cool pants and blazer ensembles. Cropped at the ankle, the jeans and other leg hugging looks allowed the ladies to look like they had outgrown their wardrobe. There were a few boho looks as well, with some rather strange layers.

And then of course there was the third day with even more comfort looks that included lots of skinny pants, some leggings and a whole lot of glamorous designs. There was a bit more blue seen here as well, from the blue accents to the blue denim, the blue makeup and more. There was some face painting involved and a few of the girls did appear with some pretty intriguing eye makeup.

There were a lot of pieces that just about captured London, though we can easily see them on New York streets as well. Wraparound blazers over high-waist pants, all in white, with a black fur coat to throw on top is plain delectable though. Add in some hoodies, some fun coats over simple turtlenecks and a few perfectly styled layers and you have fashion, comfort and beauty all in one place.

One of the major looks from the London Fashion Week fall 2016 street styles included the eyewear, which ranged from funky hippie designs in rounded frames screaming love to dark and wide rimmed sunglasses. There were rounded ones with clear lenses, aviator designs, double wired rims, and lots of cat eyes. We even had some reflective lenses on the streets.

There were white rims and black rims and even some marbles and clear plastic, all generally appearing oversized on the faces. Lots and lots of sunglasses is what we saw and loving every second of it. We will definitely be investing in a few more of those specs soon enough. We will probably grab some of the headwear too, included the rounded bowl hats and the tuques.
