The vintage clothing brand MadeWorn and the lifestyle brand Roc96 collaborated on a clothing line that celebrates the hip-hop legend Jay-Z. Revolve will have the exclusive rights to sell this limited edition capsule collection.
The main inspiration for the special line is the 20th anniversary of Jay-Z’s legendary first album “Reasonable Doubt” that was published in 1996. The collection includes pieces that represent and celebrate Jay-Z’s career and many of the designs feature lyrics and track titles from the album. The line offers unisex clothing for both men and women. Edgy jeans, bomber jackets, army-inspired clothing, sweatshirts, and T-shirts are just a part of the capsule collection. An exclusive line of sneakers will also be available.
“Jay-Z has always been an inspiration both musically and within the fashion culture, well before Revolve even started,” said Michael Mente, the founder of Revolve.
The e-retailer Revolve will be selling the Jay-Z inspired line online on their official site starting from June 1. People will also be able to visit the four-day pop-up shop of Revolve, based in the Social Club on Melrose. The address is 8070 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90046. The pricing will definitely be a bit on the higher end of the shopping budget. The collection will be priced between $160 and $3,500, but this shouldn’t be a problem for all of the Jay-Z admirers out there.
“We’ve poured heart and soul into every element of design and furthermore, curated an artfully minded experience for Revolve Social Club, where the East Coast music culture meets the West Coast fashion scene,” said Blaine Halvorson, the founder and chief executive officer of MadeWorn.
Roc96 and MadeWorn collaborated on another capsule collection earlier this month. The clothing brands released a handmade line that was inspired by the hip-hop king just like this one and was exclusively released at Barneys New York. The line was available starting from May 4 and included bomber and leather jackets, T-shirts and many other designs for men and women.
The clothing brand Roc96 was founded in 2016 by Jay-Z and his friends Emory Jones and Kareem “Biggs” Burke. Roc96 released several limited-edition capsule collections last year. The main theme of the collections was the 20th anniversary of Jay-Z’s debut album. Since then the brand was split in two directions. One of them is named Reasonable Doubt and offers affordable streetwear. The other one is Roc96 and is a more expensive brand. They are planning to significantly expand the brand in the future.
