Marchesa Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Collection – New York Fashion Week

Refined dresses that radiate femininity, sophistication and a luxurious feel are the focusing point of the stunning Marchesa fall/winter 2014-2015 collection, cast on the seventh day of New York Fashion Week fall 2014. The creative designers of the fashion house, Georgina Chapman and Karen Craig found their inspiration in “our Scottish woman who’s a little bit more disheveled in winter, with this static hair like she’s running through the fields in the Highlands.” Thus, the new Marchesa line sets us on a fantasy trip to the Scottish Highlights to show the wonderful, mind-blowing dresses and gowns that every girly girl would love to own!

Rich jewel tones, delicate lace, pleats, chiffon, embroidered flowers and pearls, lace appliqués, floral cutouts, tulle, feathers and fur represent the chic of the Marchesa fall/winter 2014-2015 collection that has all the perspectives to turn into number one provider of red-carpet dresses of the Hollywood celebrities. Draping, soft transparency plays, laser cutout forms and one-shoulder styles are other descriptive elements of these show-stopping wonders.
There was no room to pants and shorts in the Marchesa fall/winter 2014-2015 collection, as spectacular dresses took the lead! Think straight options cut at the tea-length and ones featuring asymmetric hemlines and flowy draping, full skirt princess gowns and floor-length delicate gowns in opulent shades like burnt red, orange and mustard. High-heeled shoes with lace details, luxurious fur scarves and dramatic earrings finished off the look perfectly. The models wore slightly undone buns or braided hair that again reminded of the source of inspiration of the collection.
