Marchesa is a couture-producing brand, whose clothes have adorned the red carpet not once. British designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, combining their knacks for creating timeless pieces, founded a fashion company that would soon be hailed in the world as one of the best fashion labels producing exquisite evening dresses. Chapman and Craig can be proud of the fact that their brand is a first choice for some of the most stylish women in the world. Marchesa is elegant and feminine, it’s delicate and fragile, it is everything a woman needs to feel graceful and confident. And the Marchesa spring/summer 2015 collection thoroughly captures the stylish philosophy of the brand, making us swoon with its mind-blowing designs!
The newest Marchesa spring/summer 2015 collection graced the catwalk of London Fashion Week on the second day of the show. When the first Marchesa model wearing the subtlest, the most delicate white V-neck layered dress sprinkled with florals and adorned with lace appeared on the catwalk, we realized that the new collection was truly everything we expected and even more. However, the parade of utterly gorgeous dresses did not end here. Every next model that appeared on the catwalk was an epitome of splendor and magnificence: we saw open shoulder figure hugging long dresses with florals, lacy asymmetrical skirts matching with similar tops, layered high waisted lacy skirts paired with floral blouses, super cute pair of tapered pants with matching sleeveless blouse, light pink layered dresses, deep V-neck chiffon dresses in maroon decorated with small embroidered flowers and so on.
At the second part of the show, the dresses got visibly shorter, although the harmonious color combinations remained unchanging. A black satin mini dress with a blue bird up on the front looked quite effective with white shirt and halter jacket. The image of the free flying bird was also seen on several other dresses: first it was yellow on a black mini dress with lacy shoulders, then it decorated the skirt of a satin black halter dress.
At the end of the show, we saw many dresses designed from a see-through fabric that oozed elegance and sexiness. One particular dress that we cannot but mention was the one made of what looked like hair. Worn over a simple black bikini bottom and complemented with flowers, it looked bizarre and extravagant, but at the same time, very interesting and fresh. The last part of the show saw some of the most luxurious and lush evening gowns, wearing which any woman would be capable of turning heads wherever she goes.
It seems that no matter how much we talk about and describe the Marchesa spring/summer 2015 collection, it will never be enough, because there’s just so much to say and so much to admire! Everything was so exquisitely designed, the tailoring was so perfect and delicate, the colors so pleasant and lovely when put together, that for a second we forgot that we were just people from the audience watching the models and imagined ourselves wearing those luxurious gowns and strolling down the catwalk along with Marchesa models!
