Marni for H&M Spring 2012 Collection

The new season is bringing lots of surprises for real fashionisers, and the most pleasant one among them is the collaboration between Swedish high-street retailer H&M and luxury brand Marni. Now finally we have the chance to take a peek at the first photos revealed from the beautiful Marni for HM Spring 2012 Collection and judge whether it was worth waiting so much for it or not. The answer is definitely yes! This is one of the most vibrant and elegant lines of the new season, flooded with lots of on-trend, feminine and classy pieces, vintage vibes and eye-popping prints.

“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favourite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements,” said Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni’s founder and creative director.
“We all love the collection here at H&M and we believe that our customers will do the same. Marni has such a modern touch with everything they do, mixing prints and accessories in a playful but chic way. It’s fantastic to see how Consuelo Castiglioni coordinates her designs, matching new combinations of print and colour, with such incredible craftsmanship behind every piece. The collection will arrive in stores at just the perfect time, as a lovely statement for spring,” Margareta van den Bosch said.

Lots of dots, stripes and other abstract prints are the key ingredients of this ultra-sassy collection. The brands have even gone for mixing prints, which is one of the major trends of the new season. The focus on ladylike allure is more than evident, which is best emphasized through a number of ladies dresses, skirts, and floral themed collars. Leggings and knee high socks have been used to inject interest into the designs, while creating looks that are on top of the latest trends.
Retro inspired blouses, classy cardigans, stunning spring jackets and statement bracelets are some of the noteworthy pieces found in the Marni for H&M Spring 2012 Lookbook. Colorful, yet far from being flashy, cute and easily distinguishable, the collection comes to fascinate all those girls, who stand out with their unique style. Unlike many other brands, which exclusively focus on style and forget about footwear, the two huge companies put a great accent on balancing the tendencies.

The accessories department of the collection is equally impressive. There are classy, yet casual earrings, necklaces, handbags, thin belts, sunglasses and funky hats, which will complete your Marni-inspired looks with a delightful touch. All the pieces featured in this limited-edition collection will go on sale online and in selected stores starting with March 8, just in time for the International Women’s Day.
