Mary Katrantzou Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – London Fashion Week

Another wild and seductive collection is ready to make the coming spring a blazing and hot one. The Mary Katrantzou spring/summer 2014 collection showcased during London Fashion Week is just amazingly stunning and appealing. It has all the elements of the rich culture of the Mediterranean. The romantic nights at the sea and the delightful sunrises over the picturesque mountains probably inspired the young designer to come up with such lovely and gorgeous apparels.

The Mary Katrantzou spring/summer 2014 collection is quite bright and colorful, though it is probably better to wear the dresses at night since they will make you more feminine, wanted and desirable. The essential tints and colors of the dresses are blue, white, yellow and purple combined all in one. They look absolutely fun in combination with the prints of men’s brogues and sneakers covering most of the front part of some of the dresses.
Another thing that seems to be trendy in Katrantzou’s collection is the bubble-shaped dresses that will absolutely be comfortable and cute to wear on a hot summer day to sit in a luxurious café. They give the models sort of a butterfly look with adorable simplicity and brightness of the mixed colors. Jaunty shorts are more casual and sporty especially when you wear them with sneakers.
Some of the outfits have heavy crystal embroidery, which enlivens the jolly and lucid colors of the ocean, the sea and all the romanticism of a memorable night. Still, probably the most stunning part of the show was the presentation of the impressive evening dresses. The very first entry can completely astonish even the least interested person. It is amusing and alluring with the chaotic images and colors of universe – as if it were real and so close.

The fashioner added some 3D effects to the dresses, which gave the show a more vivacious and active look. The black and white dress gives the model a very curious and compelling impression as if she has just landed from the moon and has a great mystery to tell. There are certain elements of modest ruffles in the collection that complete the evening looks, screaming so Mary Katrantzou!
