Massimo Dutti’s Fall 2016 Limited Edition Collection Is All About Knitwear and Lingerie Accents

Massimo Dutti just surprised us with an exclusive limited edition collection that is all about knitwear motifs and lingerie-style pieces. The minimalistic and Seventies-inspired accents used in the Massimo Dutti fall 2016 limited edition collection make everything even more covetable and eclectic.

Massimo Dutti Fall 2016 Limited Edition Collection

Massimo Dutti’s fall 2016 limited edition collection combines the brand’s main line’s fall motifs, such as the aforementioned Seventies inspirations, with clean-cut, uber-minimalistic and at times even conceptual motifs, the inevitable urban-chic attitude of which will in return add an extra fancy factor to any wardrobe. Although the main line is almost solely boho-chic-inspired, this special edition line-up blends in Seventies fashions with more contemporary interpretations of the heroin-chic trends everyone seems to be obsessed with nowadays.

As for the color palette, both the main and the special edition lines appear to favor darker colors, except for the dream array of off-white, creamy essentials that gently light up the entire collection. For this autumnal season, Massimo Dutti chose to mainly embrace the sophisticated brown, gray and black shades, creating neutral pieces that could look absolutely perfect either with a similar color palette, or with contrasting, if not even shocking, bright bold hues.

As for the wardrobe essentials, on the other hand, Massimo Dutti’s exclusive collection is particularly strong on three main staples: palazzo pants, sweaters and accessories. Billowy and cozy, Massimo Dutti’s palazzo pants will give you something extremely warm to wear on a daily basis, especially if you live in a cold and rainy city (most of the pieces are made of refined wool). Although the collection features pencil, culottes and cropped pants too, it’s specifically the palazzo pants that are actually the most covetable essentials in the line-up, meant to easily go from day to night.

When it comes to the sweaters and blouses, it is here that the collection mostly sticks to the Nineties, treating us to minimalist round-necked shirts, oversized sweaters and crêpe tops with V-necklines, which also introduce us to the more lingerie-inspired and loungewear-style garments. Elegant loungewear jackets, slip vests with laced hems and mid-calf, bright white gowns embody the most heroin-chic side of the Nineties, creating an appealing and inspirational contrast with the line-up’s more grunge-inspired must-haves.

To top it all off, Massimo Dutti focused on A-list accessories and jewelry pieces that we already can’t wait to get our hands on. If abstract necklaces and deconstructed rings serve as great options when it comes to choosing an unconventional, yet extremely elegant jewel, the sandals and sensual stiletto ankle-boots seem to be willing to treat us to haute couture-esque proposals yet at a more affordable price (which is always good news).

The Massimo Dutti fall 2016 special edition collection is now available for purchase at massimodutti.com, with price tags that range from 29,00 € to 149,00 €.
