Haute Couture, pre-fall collections, spring campaigns… everything seems to be mixed up these days. One of the awesome new advertising stints to be revealed is the Massimo Dutti spring/summer 2016 campaign, with rolling seas and beautiful music, images of love and devotion and an ingrained understanding of all things fashion. It might not be the resort collection that we are seeing here, but Massimo Dutti certainly ensures we get the full experience of swimming pools near oceans that spread far and wide, peacefully playing about for as far as the eye can see in the horizon. In the meantime, we are treated to images of stylish wonder as well, from perfectly cut trench coats to lovely clutches, summer clothing and spring favorites.
The campaign includes men’s and women’s collections, as per Massimo Dutti style. The Spanish retailer is quite hot in some part of the world, appearing in some unexpectedly fashionable countries as well. The styles seen are classy, and speak of people of means, though coming from the nature of Old Wealth instead of New Money. There are dresses that whisper against the legs, the black silhouettes molding the body, matched with gorgeous headbands in satin. There are long tunics that can be worn over swimsuits, with flat sandals and an oversized belt.
In the Massimo Dutti spring 2016 line-up we see suede jackets with flapping lapels and pockets just perfect for carrying about what is necessary in. The shoes come with ankle straps, the handbags with shoulder straps, and the shirts with an extra bit that serves as a scarf. There are striped dressy shirts for work or a day on a date, with white body hugging trousers in tow, along with textured tops that end just below the belly button, baring the midriff to the world.
One of our favorite looks however, has simply got to be the cord knit tank top with matching cardigan combination, tucked into white trousers and a thin black belt sitting snug on the hips. Yes, this is certainly a campaign we are enjoying, and cannot wait to grab any of those accessories as well, from the sunglasses to the jewelry portrayed.
It is a rare thing these days where a campaign focuses more on the human emotion than on sexing things up or making the actual pieces the focal point. Actually, mostly everything is just sexed up. It is refreshing to see headshots and moments caught on camera, which scream deep affections and intimate fun. The models for this campaign are undoubtedly well chosen, showing off a chemistry on set that few couples are able to. We can truly state that this is one of the better campaigns for the spring and summer of 2016 seen yet.
