Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2014 Collection

The Michael Kors pre-fall 2014 collection is already here! The lovers of outlandish combinations of seemingly incompatible pieces of clothing cannot be disappointed! The presentation of the pre-fall 2014 collection of Michael Kors took place on December 13th, although “pre-fall collection” is a term with which Mr. Kors himself doesn’t seem to agree. “We banished the phrase pre-fall. Considering that in September it’s still warm, ‘pre-something’ that doesn’t actually happen until November makes no sense to me. It’s trans-season,” the designer stated.

The Michael Kors pre-fall 2014 collection itself is quite bizarre and mind-blowing. It’s a unique mix of formal and non-formal styles, which together create the most harmonious union ever! Sleeveless dresses come here worn over dressy pants, woolen coats and hooded jackets make pairs with lacy pants, knee-length skirts go with plain white sneakers, while red pants seem to be the best pairs with cream-colored coats. Although some of the items featured in collection seem to be designed for men, we are surprised to learn that all the models representing the line are female. What’s more, these items look perfectly fine on female models and we can most assuredly say that Kors has gone to extremes to achieve his goal of presenting us with a typical tomboy style on catwalk.
The Michael Kors pre-fall 2014 collection features a wide variety of mostly cream colored suit jackets and coats (even sleeveless ones!), sweaters and blazers, printed baggy and sometimes even pajama-looking pants, knit turtlenecks, hooded jackets in faded colors and one-piece swimwear!

The looks are complemented with all sorts of killer accessories, among which we can mention leather belts, which are matched with coats, trousers, dresses and woolen sweaters, as well as bags, particularly satchels and shoulder bags, which sometimes match with the print on the shoes and even on the pants. The shoes worn by the models mostly consist of flat sneakers, moccasins and oxford shoes, although chunky-heeled sandals are also present. Another notable item, present in many of the looks of models, is the crystal brooch fastened on the lapels of the suit jackets and coats, scarves and woolen sweaters.
Overall, the Michael Kors pre-fall 2014 collection is another strong sartorial statement from the talented designer, who just can’t stop surprising us with his stylish presentations of creative, one-of-a-kind fashion lines!
