Milan Fashion Week Fall 2015 Street Style

According to various reports, Italians are considered to be the most fashionable and best-dressed nation in the world, so no wonder we always look forward to Milan Fashion Week to borrow some precious styling secrets from the street style icons attending the shows. As expected, we have had a wonderful week filled with the most mesmerizing designs and fashion trends for fall, of which the Dolce & Gabbana fall 2015 rtw collection was the definite highlight of the entire Milan Fashion Week with its beautiful motherhood inspired designs that have us all enchanted. We also saw the final collection of Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci, while Philosophy debuted Lorenzo Serafini’s first full rtw collection. While the hip-hop inspirations of Moschino came to cheer us up with the array of colorful prints and patterns, the gorgeous Fendi line continued to worship the Sixties and Seventies eras in fashion through an array of modernized looks. We loved every single collection unveiled to bits, including the Dsquared2 fall 2015 rtw lineup launched on the last day of MFW. And, of course, we fell head over heels in love with the opulent, bright and uber-sassy Milan Fashion Week fall 2015 street style, bringing such names to the spotlight as Anna Dello Russo, Ulyana Sergeenko and Chiara Ferragni.

Unlike New York and London, Milan can boast milder weather and higher temperatures letting the guests of the shows walk out the door bare-legged and sometimes even with no outerwear without feeling cold. This surely provided them with freedom for choosing the pieces they wanted to wear and styling them creatively for the most impressive outcome. However, surely we couldn’t do without the abundance of luxurious furs and leathers coming in different shades and shapes and injecting glamour into the looks of the A-list celebrities, models and fashion icons posing for the camera lenses of the most renowned street style photographers of the moment. Fur looked especially cool when used as trimmings for those oversized or tiny Fendi bags many a guest chose to carry, while Ferragni’s fluffy fur coat in a light blue shade was the perfect addition to her yellow guipure lace Maison Valentino dress complemented with her eponymous shoes and the rainbow-colored Valentino cross-body bag. We also loved the oversized and a bit shaggy Mongolian fur coat of Eleonora Carisi, who decided to don that with a deep burgundy ensemble and comfortable slip-ons featuring fur pom-pom details.

It’s a tradition now to get looks straight off the runway and sport them immediately after the shows or during the coming days. Cutie Helena Bordon thus took two Moschino looks to the streets, teaming the Bugs Bunny sweater-dress with yellow wedge sneakers one day and landing in the spotlight with her Teddy Bear bag adorning her bear-patterned sweater and the pair of white skinny pants for attending another show.

Others made a statement playing with rich colors and textures, like Anna Dello Russo taking the streets by storm with her jewel green-toned below-the-knee dress that she finished off with a pink hat, a pair of silver sandals and a green bag with feathery motifs. We saw lots of yellows and reds, purples, blues and oranges that brought life to the monochrome blacks and classy whites and creams, instantly winning everyone’s admiration.

And, of course, we couldn’t go without some of the coolest fashion trends of the moment, like the ‘70s coming in the form of bell bottom pants and wide-brim hats, suede and lots of fringing. Military influences, sporty chic looks and timeless elegant and feminine designs were also there, coming to bring diversity to the scene and inspire their followers. Ulyana’s rich green below-the-knee dress paired with nude Louboutins made us swoon as she came to watch the stunning Dolce & Gabbana show with her cutie daughter Vasilisa.
