Sneak Peek at Nasty Gal x Courtney Love Collection

Babydolls, ripped fishnets, mohair sweaters, and more will soon be available from the “Love, Courtney by Nasty Gal” collaboration on NastyGal.com. With looks inspired and designed by famous grunge rocker Courtney Love, shoppers will have the chance to relive some of the ‘90s kinderwhore trend, which Love was credited with pioneering. Knowing what we do about Love, and with the first sneak peek images now released to social media, we know we’re in for a blast from the past, which will “make all of your ‘90s fantasies come true,” as the fashion label said on Instagram.

Nasty Gal x Courtney Love Collection

This collaboration seemed natural from its conception, as the retail brand has always kept nostalgia at the forefront of its apparel. Courtney Love was at the helm of grunge fashion in the ‘90s, and she is no stranger to the Nasty Gal community, so it was only going to be a matter of time before the two finally teamed up to make a collection. And if the rest of the collection is as exciting as these first two images, we’re going to have an exceptional collaboration – but of course, such was to be expected.

Dynamic bombshell Hailey Clauson was cast to model the clothes for the Courtney Love x Nasty Gal lookbook, and from the two photos released on Monday night, she appears to have been the perfect casting. With her naturally sexy demeanor, she seems right at home with the kinderwhore style; so the rest of the collection will no doubt look stunning on her.

To just classify Love’s style as grunge would be a disservice. She is a combination of so many different styles, like glamourous, feminine, edgy, among so many others, and so far that has come through in the looks. So many people look up to Love as a fashion icon, which is an aspect Nasty Gal will likely profit from. And what’s not to love, especially with Nasty Gal referring to the apparel as “badass lingerie you can wear all day”? With Clauson’s disheveled hair and apparel hinting at a boudoir setting, it’s easy to see how those involved will keep up this appearance.

The clothes in this collection will offer the chance to see how Love’s style translates into design, but will also likely give fans the chance to wear clothes this iconic woman will keep in her own wardrobe. Nasty Gal’s shoppers tend to be on the younger, wild side, so there’s a chance many customers weren’t even old enough to remember when Courtney Love was in the limelight as lead singer for the band Hole, but that doesn’t stop her fashion sense from being so iconic, and definitely won’t stop these looks from flying off of the shelves.

The final Courtney Love for Nasty Gal collection will consist of 18 pieces, according to Vogue, with prices ranging from $48 to $188. The collection will be released next Thursday, Jan. 14, so we don’t have too much longer to wait. Meanwhile browse through the gallery to see what you’ll be able to shop!
