Nasty Gal’s Summer 2016 Vintage Fashion Line Is For Eclectic Youth

Nasty Gal is here once again to fulfill our best summer dreams with its summer 2016 vintage fashion line that has been inspired by The Eclectics and already available for purchase at NastyGal.com. Named ‘Eclectic Youth’ and with a motto that explains it all – “Pour on the color. Pile on the prints. The magic is in the mix” – the line-up couldn’t be more variegated, as well as more deeply infused with good, old Nineties vibes.

From chunky-heeled sandals to chokers and billowy bell-bottom cropped pants, Nasty Gal’s summer 2016 vintage fashion line has it all. The pieces are ready to be mixed and matched with one another or, in case of futuristic style lovers, take us to the space. So heavily Nineties influenced, it was impossible for those at Nasty Gal’s creative department not to add a few metallic pieces as well, especially due to the fact that, according to the spring/summer 2016 fashion trends, metallic is the new black indeed.

Besides the metallic patterns, used to embellish everything from pants to sandals, the line-up is strong on bold floral and animal motifs too, matched either with each other or with equally bold and vibrant monochrome garments.

Stripes, polka dots and graphic logos embellish both the t-shirts and jackets, as well as the pencil skirts, leaving it up to the interesting cuts to be dipped into the aforementioned sleek silvery colors. As for the varsity theme, Nasty Gal took the chance to celebrate it in every way possible, displaying the motif not only on jackets and t-shirts, but on socks and relaxed blouses too.

Those who are particularly fond of vintage Gucci, Moschino and Versace staples, will rejoice at the sight of Versace’s signature cropped Bolero, Gucci’s animal printed patterns and Moschino’s ironic designs with a more ‘naturalistic’ attitude adorned with ladybug prints.

‘Eclectic Youth’ is then particularly strong on the accessory line too. Mainly composed of petite, rounded or heart-shaped cross-body bags, the bag line features soft leather clutches too, and pays specific attention to some of Chanel’s most covetable quilted leathers bags.

The same goes for the sunglasses and eyeglasses: although mainly featuring a dream array of sensual cat-eye frames, Nasty Gal took the time to treat us to some oversized, rounded or square-shaped frames too, to the pleasure of those who have been obsessively looking for the must-have Gucci oversized Geek eyeglasses.

Thin scarfs and beanies infuse the entire fashion line with a tres chic Parisian touch, making it hard for us not to browse Nasty Gal’s website and add three or more staples to our wish lists.
