Festival season is upon us! That means lots of food, great music and a whole slew of fun and laughter to be had within the next few months, until the cold begins to set in once again. It means funky bohemian braided hairstyles and caution thrown to the wind from time to time, revelling in the moment that brings us great joy and has us creating the best memories to be had. We are beyond excited about attending the Coachella Music and Arts Festival this weekend and next, have been filling up our Pinterest boards with awesome festival outfit and hair styling ideas and now we are more than ready to tackle the next few months with a gleeful smile and a killer fashion sense. Our latest fad? The Bohemian Biker! We’ve seen the latest in Nasty Gal festival 2015 collection and it would be impossible to unsee those fabulous looks. In the company’s own words, we are following in the footsteps of Nasty Gal as it gets rebellious for the upcoming festival season.
Nasty Gal is an American based and owned retailer specializing in clothing, shoes and accessories for young women. It has a huge customer base in over 60 different countries, but it appears that it has been struggling of late. It is currently switching tactics to opening up brick and mortar stores, having newly cut the ribbon on the second store in Santa Monica. It is fighting to stay on top and we know that with the right strategic management, everyone’s favourite American retailer will keep its spot at the top. With lots of new collaborations and a great new collection combining the bohemian trend with some biker elements for its latest style guide featuring Marine Deleeuw, it appears Nasty Gal will be staying afloat for a while, not allowing the undercurrents to pull it down below. The latest Nastu Gal music festival 2015 collection features everything from fringe to lace, studs to suede; there are thrill seeking looks that will surely keep you on your toes and feeling like the reins are in your hands at all times. Think sexy, think leather; think the 1970s with a modern twist. Some looks are sweet while others ooze of Pulp Fiction.
Embroidered dresses with mini hems and an incredibly open chest region, only held together by lacing in loose fashion spanning from the top of the bust to the top of the abdomen, fall into the latest lookbook for Nasty Gal. Add a long embroidered robe to the mix, thrown over a layering of suede vest, match it with laced gladiator heels and you have the ultimate bohemian style inspiration created to rock your festival season. We can certainly imagine wearing this on our honeymoon though, probably away from peering eyes.
For a Western flare, look to the shoots where there are lots of fringes a wide brimmed hat and a whole lot of cowgirl action. Think black studded shirt with the buttons undone to the center of the chest. Now add rivets to the look, studs that bring silver onto black and makes for an interesting combination. A leather belt with silver embellishments holds up a micro short that is little more than underwear really. Fringes fall from the back as the lady with the boho waves let loose in the wind stares down with a sultry don’t-mess-with-me look. Now that is sexy!
