Nicholas K Fall/Winter 2013-2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week
Fri, February 8, 2013The Fashion Week is officially open now and designers take us to New York City to enjoy the flow of gorgeous collections, predicting the fall/winter 2013-2014 fashion trends. Nicholas K was the one to open New York Fashion Week on February 7, 2013, showcasing the simplistic, yet incredibly chic Nicholas K fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. As natural as that may seem, the designers illustrated a layering art in their collection, showing that one can definitely look voguish in cold fall season too, while piling it on.

Nicholas and Christopher Kunz looked to the Arctic explorations of the late 19th century for the newest Nicholas K fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. This is the reason why their main focus was layering, while the color palette came to be quite moderate, including blacks, whites, khaki and camel tones. The show opened with a cavalcade of bone-white monochromatic tops, coats and sweatpants, while the end was remarkable with the smart black ensembles. This cold season, the designer duo suggests wearing knitted and leather pieces, silk and buttery jerseys, shortened harem pants and billowy blouses featuring architectural necklines, plaid jackets with fur collars, sexy diaphanous dresses with skin-revealing transparent inserts, as well as hooded knit capes.
The looks in the Nicholas K fall/winter 2013-2014 collection come beautifully accessorized with clear goggles worn on the foreheads, necklaces and platform wedges matched with knitted socks. The start of the Fashion Week is certainly promising and this is all due to the gorgeous work done by the famous designer duo!
