With the death of genius Dominican born fashion designer Oscar de la Renta the fashion world really had a major loss, still with the arrival of Peter Copping at the creative helm of the luxury fashion house the brand has managed to keep its signature elegant and dramatically feminine style. Copping triumphantly debuted his fall 2015 rtw collection at New york Fashion Week back in February, then also designed his first bridal collection for the brand for the 2016 year, followed by a chic resort 2016 line-up that was more about glamorous daywear pieces. Interestingly the brand’s style ideology didn’t change a bit with Peter’s arrival, since both Copping and de la Renta do speak in the same language of elegance, femininity and sophistication, as Copping himself stated once. The same concept has been preserved in the latest Oscar de la Renta fall 2015 campaign that Copping has just debuted wowing the world with the romantic and glamorous mood these fantastic images transmit.
Carolyn Murphy takes center stage in the Oscar de la Renta fall 2015 campaign resembling a fictional character from a famous romantic novel, like Gone With the Wind wearing couture worthy pieces that are so de la Renta in every aspect. David Sims was the one to capture this beautiful imagery that seems to be telling an entire love story of a woman towards high-end fashion, elegance and glamour, features that have always defined de la Renta’s aesthetics. Actually, Copping’s idea was to create a campaign that would fully embody the couture spirit of the house and he definitely managed to do this successfully. Carolyn and David make a great team to work with, as Carolyn does embody the perfect de la Renta woman with her natural beauty, grace and elegance, while David has a brilliant eye for capturing all the tiny details that characterize the house.
In the photos, Carolyn is captured wearing some of the most astounding pieces from the brand’s fall line-up, designs meant to make any woman the princess of the ball and the successful business lady during the daytime. She looks both modern and classy in the images, donning pieces that are so up-to-date and trendy while also being an ode to the past at the same time. While the evening cocktail dresses and full-skirt ball gowns take one’s breath away with their luxury, lush colors, interesting design solutions and extravaganza, we instantly fell for that little black dress with lace inserts and lots of slits exposing just the right amount of skin, or the pretty black skirtsuit matched with a romantic white shirt and a pair of comfortable and statement-making heeled shoes. And when we talk about the shoes, we simply can’t pass indifferently by those black pumps embellished with lace bows on the back that inject so much innocence and cuteness to the simplistic monochrome pieces.
As a rule, the campaign also shows high-end jewelry designs, including pearl rings, earrings and chunky bracelets that can finish off any red-carpet-worthy look with loads of drama and elegance. Add the pair of elbow-length gloves to the mix that make one of the best fall 2015 fashion trends and you have one picture-perfect campaign that makes us fall in love with de la Renta’s house once again!
