The Oscar de la Renta spring/summer 2015 collection comes like a delicate spring breeze, featuring all that is necessary for a woman to feel more beautiful and ladylike. Bringing both charming daytime clothing pieces and his iconic princess gowns, the designer caters to the demands of the modern fashionisers, who want to look their best anytime of the day. Filled with lighthearted spring-ready colors and youthful prints, as well as playful silhouettes and creative ways of putting these pieces into successful looks, the Oscar de la Renta spring/summer 2015 rtw collection does charm at the very first sight, proving to become one of the most sought-after fashion lines for the upcoming spring season.
The entire Oscar de la Renta spring 2015 collection is perfumed with optimism, the beauty describing spring nature and big doses of femininity and elegance merged with charming mid-century couture vibes. The show started with a range of dusty pink looks featuring modern crop tops, tailored roomy shorts, an elegant dress with an asymmetric hemline, flowers-resembling laser cuts used for a mini white skirt, as well as lovely gingham prints. It’s official now: gingham prints are the hottest patterns you will see a lot in stores in the new season. Ginghams later appeared also in black and white colors and baby blue tones, strongly holding their position in the collection.
An ode to spring nature held the next important position in the Oscar de la Renta spring/summer 2015 collection. It was visible not only in the myriad of floral and leaf prints and patterns used, as well as the beautiful flowery backdrop of the runway, but also in the color palette choice, featuring all the pretty hues you tend to see in spring. Light pastel pinks and blues, salad greens, lush corals and yellows were all there, coming accompanied with lots of whites, blacks and nude tones. Generally, the beginning of the show was sugary (thanks to the dusty pinks and baby blues) and modest (due to the blacks, creams and whites), while the finale was energizing and refreshing bringing all those bright nature inspired shades.
Sleeveless silhouettes placing the focus on the models’ beautiful décolleté, lots of laser cuts, ostrich feathers, light peplum details, off-shoulder shapes and de la Renta’s signature ball skirts are other details we saw a lot during the show. The designer also demonstrated a skillful play with transparency details and beautiful strict shapes, when it came to the couple of outerwear pieces (especially stunning was the white mink trapeze coat with intricate flower intarsia topping a delicate white crochet mini dress).
From the uber-romantic and wearable daytime separates and cocktail dresses to the mind-blowing evening gowns and a couple of spectacular outerwear options, the Oscar de la Renta spring/summer 2015 collection has it all to become your favorite spring collection. It’ll really be hard to resist the temptation of buying a couple of stunners from this collection!
