London Fashion Week spring 2015 continues unveiling super-voguish and chic spring 2015 collections for us, and the next one in the row is the absolutely elegant Paul Smith spring/summer 2015 collection, which captures one’s heart instantly with its effortless allure and minimalism. It’s a timeless collection, which harmoniously blends masculine elements with feminine shapes and versatile hues, leading to perfection. “It’s effortless, it’s all about being effortless, did you see how the models just naturally put their hands in their pockets?” the designer stated on his new designs. Bringing some of the best spring 2015 fashion trends, such as stripes and safari-inspired colors, the Paul Smith spring 2015 rtw collection proudly holds an important position among the best fashion lines for the upcoming bright season!
Monochrome and neutral is the first impression you get looking through the looks presented in the Paul Smith spring/summer 2015 collection. The line features go-with-everything timeless shades, such as whites, creams, camel tones, khakis, blues and dusty pinks. Stripes put in various shapes and shades are the main prints used, however, there are also some minimalistic floral patterns adorning a few tops, skirts and dresses. Generally, the prints have been used so wisely and precisely that they perfectly blend with the background colors, looking so wonderfully modest and simplistic.
Subtle pleats, transparency motifs and masculine vibes are the next noteworthy trends in the collection. There are lots of oversized knee-length tailored shorts, trousers, shorts suits and various shapes of the classic tuxedo jacket in the menswear style. Despite the big abundance of androgynous garments, the collection perfectly preserves the elegant and feminine mood.
Retro motifs can also be noticed in the collection, which are especially vivid in the designs of the knee-length full skirts coming matched with slightly elongated tops. The trend of layering is also here, which is especially clearly emphasized in the look of a knee-length white pleated skirt topped with a long blue robe. Some of the garments in the collection also feature slight touches of fringing, used for decorating the hemlines of the skirts and tops.
The Paul Smith spring/summer 2015 collection show was closed with a romantic and dramatic look, composed of a lovely dress featuring a satin top and a see-through pleated chiffon skirt, all adorned with delicate florals. Like all the other looks presented, this one was also finished off with a pair of comfy flat sandals. Some looks also featured oversized and practical bags, as well as stylish sunglasses.
Like the entire Paul Smith spring/summer 2015 collection, the makeup and hair of the models were also kept minimal and chic. The models walked down the runway rocking nude faces and classic updos. It was a sober collection with lots of wearable and chic trends that can take your styling to a whole new level!
