Energy, Abstraction, Humor, Color, Instinct, Spontaneous, Action, Fast… The eight words from the show notes of the Proenza Schouler fall/winter 2014-2015 collection thoroughly conveyed the philosophy of these chic garments debuted at New York Fashion Week. “It’s about having fun. Outerwear is definitely the focus point of the Proenza Schouler fall/winter 2014-2015 collection, which comes in a variety of styles, shapes and colors, ranging from long tweed options with emphasized shoulders to cobalt blue short coats and ones featuring creative graphic prints. Overall, the line featured lots of signs of imaginative graphic work, which was applied not only to the coats, but also to the dresses and tops. This was brought to life either by mixing colors to create graphic prints or through a material play that looked even more outstanding. And when colors and materials seemed to have no power, cutouts came to take the lead role. This is seen in the case of the dresses with graphic cutouts on the belly part.
As far as the color palette of the Proenza Schouler fall/winter 2014-2015 collection, we get overwhelmed by a fusion of black and gray with cobalt blue, orange, pink, crimson, purple, burgundy and turquoise. There was no room to monochrome looks, since the majority of the outfits showcased featured either graphic patterns or creative vinyl, flock and lace prints. Patchwork and leather are other big fall 2014 fashion trends visible in the Proenza Schouler fall/winter 2014-2015 collection.

Another noteworthy aspect of the Proenza Schouler fall/winter 2014-2015 collection is the volume that came to life either through oversized rounded shoulders or bouncy waists. Still, bold prints were the focus of the entire line, and as Hernandez stated, “After all that black and white and neutral stuff, we wanted to have some energy and color and fun this time.”
So yes, we are super-excited to have the ultra-spectacular Proenza Schouler fall/winter 2014-2015 collection there for fall, since this is gonna be the clue to really cool and standout cold season looks!
