Rag & Bone Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week

The Rag & Bone spring/summer 2014 collection showcased on the second day of New York Fashion Week brought out the sporty side of the upcoming warm season, ensuring you never lack fashion diversity in the bright months to come. Sporty, yet chic and feminine, Rag & Bone managed to create a beautiful clash between two contrasting trends, the combo of which couldn’t be more beautiful! It is amazing how the designers of the brand, Marcus Wainwright and David Neville could picture an elegant woman, while concentrating on a sporty side of fashion.

A prominent role of creating the sporty-elegant character played the cornerstone of the Rag & Bone spring/summer 2014 collection: the minimalism of the 90’s. You will not find too dark or eye-catching sharp colors and prints, mini dresses or skirts and tights in this collection. It is easy and simple with its oversized jackets, ethereal skirts, loose pants and tennis sweaters that have more classic Savile Row cuts.
The colors of the new Rag & Bone garments are mainly light blue, gray, white and black. Mainly knee length dresses and skirts, sometimes wrapped over prevail in the Rag & Bone spring/summer 2014 collection, however, slouchy suede pants, fab crop tops and elegant but sporty jumpsuits can also be found here.
The whole sporty look is completed with a few accessories designed again without crossing the bound of minimalism. In the Rag & Bone spring/summer 2014 collection you can find cross-body bags of different sizes that have lovely covers like lavender. However, the most shocking and probably unexpected part of the collection is its super platform shoes that from the first sight seem to be vulgar in combination with sporty pants and skirts. Surprisingly they really do match with the sporty character, Marcus Wainwright and David Neville created. Other than that, prepare to be taken by array of classy sunglasses for different face shapes and preferences.
