One of the most musical and celebrity-filled shows of New York Fashion Week was definitely the one unveiled by Rebecca Minkoff. Models walked down the runway to the music of Wild Club demonstrating the loveable Rebecca Minkoff fall/winter 2013-2014 collection, which did enthrall equally like the show with the range of statement-making clothing pieces and accessories. From cool understated elegant looks to casual and rock ‘n’ roll tomboy ensembles, the line had a little bit of something for every fashion addict.
As the show notes read, the Rebecca Minkoff woman “embarks on a voyage to the future, marrying modern, spacesuit-like construction details and a new, sophisticated grunge attitude.” And she definitely did by wearing gorgeous striped frocks and shorts, crisp white shirts, monochrome and printed short dresses, knitted cardigans and leather coats, ripped skinny-fit jeans, leather pants and dresses, as well as a line of party frocks in eye-popping colors of orange, yellow, lemon and blue that closed the show.
The focus of the entire Rebecca Minkoff fall/winter 2013-2014 collection was placed on the jackets. There were voguish bomber jackets featuring leather and burnout plaid. The outfits were styled with hologram pumps, bags, sexy leather biker gloves and knitted hats. What else does a modern girl need to hit the streets in style even in the cold months?
