Reformation x Jeanne Damas: When LA Vintage Aesthetic Meets Parisienne Style

“We make killer clothes that don’t kill the environment,” this is the motto of Reformation, a brand insanely popular among the fashion enthusiasts, film divas, and us bloggers, the ones who try to find a fault but fail so far. Reformation is, on the whole, a must-have for those, who are broadly interested in high fashion and usually go after the best. But you already know that, don’t you? Before going on to what’s new from this brand, which I know you’re craving to find out, it’s worth mentioning that the brand has truly captured an international spirit by alluring the beauty leaders in dozens of countries. Some of the celebrities wearing Reformation you’ll want to follow are Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Taylor Swift, Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Watson and … the list goes on.

And here comes the news! Reformation’s latest collection features the internationally famed brand combining forces with the Parisian model, actress and It girl Jeanne Damas. According to the brand’s founder Yael Aflalo, Jeanne’s vintage clothing has served as the main inspiration for creating that style of the ‘70s Parisian girl. A real Parisian girl inspiring Parisian fashion. Everything started to make sense again!

The inspiration works both ways, Damas herself is also inspired by the brand. “The first time I walked into one of the New York stores by chance, I thought it was the perfect store with the chicest and most perfect selection. I wanted to buy it all!” she explained her excitement to Harper’s Bazaar.

In her interview with W magazine, Damas revealed that she wanted to represent the Parisian woman who was enjoying her vacation in the South of France. As if her stunning beauty was not enough, she went on walking around a French city, where the classics are always appreciated. This rare connection between a model and a brand is the footprint of unmistakable authenticity of the Reformation x Jeanne Damas collection. We want to wear pieces that are born, made, and advertised based on the same idea. We can see that very clearly in Reformation’s campaign and that adds up more points to “Reasons Why You Should Love Reformation.”

Speaking more about the specifics, the Reformation x Jeanne Damas collection collection is inspired by Jeanne’s personal Parisian style (classics never die!) and a few favorite vintage pieces – all sexy, effortless and super easy to wear: the stripe tee, the mini skirt, the flared jeans, the even more flared jumpsuit, and more! It includes wintiled and waveview dresses, betton pants, mohawk tops, shalimar and callado dresses, Tucson and bonilla skirts and bodysuits.

Despite the inspiration story, you don’t have to be a Parisian or a Parisian-inspired woman to wear Reformation x Jeanne Damas. The pieces are loaded with a story, but every woman reads it differently. The collection is comprised of flexible pieces, which will never go unnoticed, while appearing natural and effortless. The collection is in stores today, and that’s a great reason for a much-expected shopping mission!
