Reformation ‘Don’t Call Me Cute’ Summer 2015 Collection

It is not every day that we come across a collection that is named ‘Don’t Call Me Cute’ and are able to keep a straight fac. Marketing-wise, it is a very wise move for how can you forget about the line of clothes, no matter what the style, if the idea is for people to refrain from calling you out on being adorable? The Ref idea is that every woman, no matter her shape or size, is given the chance to look amazing in the label’s designs, particularly if they are not as tall as the models used in the different fashion line campaigns. The Reformation ‘Don’t Call Me Cute’ summer 2015 collection is a line with pieces made exclusively for the ladies who are 5’4 or shorter, the ones who always seem to have trouble finding the right fit for their specific needs. Being short does not mean you cannot be beautiful as well and Reformation proves that as fact with its new fashion line. There are quite a few looks that are very appealing to us as well, particularly since I myself am no taller than 5’3.

Across the line we see wraparound style skirts and open back dress, we see crop top and skirt twin sets in gingham and checks, while adorable off the shoulder floral print against black background canopy dresses certainly do us in. There are gorgeous fringes to the Henna dresses, while the flowing bohemian pieces with the plunging necklines and the slits up the side certainly have us enthralled. Those slits are everywhere, whether on the Clinton two-piece sets, going up the center, or slightly to the side with Nessy pieces that flow to the back and really expose those legs of yours. We even see a halter crop top with a high waist on the shorts beneath, the only piece different than all the dresses offered throughout the line-up. We find ourselves enthralled by the tight short-sleeved crop top and pencil skirt Imogen two-piece, while the starry night on the jumpsuit with the plunging neckline certainly has its own appeal.

Between polka dots and soft floral designs, square graphics and fruit motifs, there are enough prints all around to have us feeling good about ourselves, tastefully done and often subtle in color and contrast. We even see funny plays on handbags as a watermelon motif one appears towards the end of the Reformation summer 2015 collection, others centering more around suitable clutches and straw woven summer bags. The shoes range from high platforms to flat laced up gladiators, simple Mary Jane looks to suede boots that end before the knees. This is a collection full of beauty, of pieces that we see on the runway but are unsure if we as the shorter people of this world, will be able to pull off. Why not wear one of those mini dresses, wither the tight woven or the looser professional pieces? Why not pick up a criss-cross back ballerina style dress to show off your legs and still look positively adorable. While the collection says not to call the girl cute, we cannot imagine a more fitting name to call the lady wearing Reformation.
