Diversity was the key at the Richard Chai Love spring/summer 2014 rtw show unveiled on the first day of New York Fashion Week, on September 5, 2013. The creative director of the brand managed to cover lots of tastes, styles and preferences in his new collection for the bright season by bringing both relaxed silhouettes and airy dresses, vibrant shades and delicate neutrals, maxi skirts and crop tops that apparently are going to enjoy great popularity in the upcoming warm season too. Whether you want to invest in casual pieces that follow the latest trends or are looking for smart formal wear or elegant outfits, the new spring 2014 line of Richard Chai is sure to dazzle you!
Vibrant orangy reds, crisp whites, aqua turquoise tones, blues, grays and shimmery navy blues are the key colors of the Richard Chai Love spring/summer 2014 collection, while stripes in various sizes and occasional floral prints come to add flirtiness and interest to the pieces. Still, layering was the main detail about the collection that couldn’t go by unnoticed! Especially unexpected and unique was the combination of skirts worn over pants!
Apparently, there is no room for mini silhouettes in the Richard Chai Love spring/summer 2014 collection, if surely we don’t talk about the multiple crop tops. Most of the dresses and skirts were extra-long or at least covering the knees, and if you are looking for alternatives, think pants, airy and billowing. The line also featured some leather pieces created in collaboration with Andrew Marc. Among the most vibrant options were the quilted moto coats that will serve as a stunning alternative for the trend of biker jackets.
The accessory choices at Richard Chai didn’t bring anything extraordinary or bright. You could see ordinary sandals and flats and nothing else! Hair was sleek and straight, while makeup kept being minimal and natural. No wonder, the Richard Chai Love spring/summer 2014 collection was one of the plainest lines demonstrated during the Fashion Week for spring 2014!
