Rodarte & Other Stories Co-Lab: Sneak Peak into the New Collection

Rodarte made a few undeniable impressions on the NYFW runway this year, but the surprises delivered by this brand are nowhere near an end. In fact, as we finished reviewing its latest collection, we’ve got new material in our hands. & Our Stories has announced that its next Co-Lab will be with the two Mulleavy sisters that make up the wonderful brand of Rodarte.

Rodarte & Other Stories Collection Sneak Peek

Well, we’ve been waiting for this partnership for a while, but now we have some visual aid to make our imagination spark even more. We’ve got the first few images of the Rodarte x & Other Stories collection unveiled on Rodarte’s Instagram account (everyone bow to the power of social media!) and although this is supposed to be a mere tease to get us addicted to the expectation, it reveals more than just a sneak peak.

The collection will include a range of patchwork leather skirts, shirts with classic pajama piping, a jacket with furry patchwork on the side panels and the collar, creamy and sequin wrap dresses, ankle boots (by the way, also featuring patchwork!), sparkly shoes and more. Patchwork was not only a big trend at NYFW, but will also appear a lot on Rodarte x & Other Stories Co-Lab, so consider this an underlying theme.

The brand also released the image of the boxes your purchase will be packaged in. Simple elegant white boxes with golden writing on it, a plain packaging that hides rich creativity.

The styling and theme details of the photoshoot for this capsule collection suggest the pieces are for laid-back customers, who enjoy every second and don’t mind appearing slightly retro. Models Heather Kemesky and Laura Meier posed for Harley Weir’s camera, while styling was done by Ashley Furnival.

Don’t ignore this event in the heat of fashion weeks, because the collaboration might actually turn out to be a big deal. Remember that Rodarte celebrated its 10th anniversary at the New York Fashion Week this year. The celebration included Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s interpretation of bridal fashion in a very gothic way, and we’re expecting something even more sophisticated in the future.

Rodarte & Other Stories Collection Sneak Peek

In fact, we have already seen Chloë Sevigny wearing an exclusive piece from the collection. Yes, some people happen to enjoy all the goods before they are launched. Anyway, Sevigny was spotted wearing brown and black leather patchwork dress at New York Fashion Week.

The Rodarte x & Other Stories collection will be available in selected stores starting with March 17. Around 3 weeks left to an amazing event, Rodarte x & Other Stories, keep feeding your wallets, you will need them big and fluffy! As you’re looking at high fashion, expect the prices to start at $29 for the tights and rise up all the way to $325 for the fantastic sequin wrap dress that will turn heads.
