Salvatore Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2015 Collection – Milan Fashion Week

When you want to embrace the elegant lady inside you, you always turn to classic shapes, feminine structures, versatile color shades and a charming timeless style, just like the one we saw today at Milan Fashion Week during the presentation of the chic Salvatore Ferragamo spring/summer 2015 collection. It’s hard to imagine fashion without the feminine and elegant style, and it’s absolutely difficult to think of a season without the classic elegance of the Salvatore Ferragamo style. Filled with the most easy-to-wear color shades and super-flattering womanly silhouettes, the Salvatore Ferragamo spring 2015 rtw collection still manages to look extremely up-to-date thanks to the moderns design solutions applied to the garments.

Versatility is shaped in the Salvatore Ferragamo spring/summer 2015 collection through the soothing color palette of whites, creams, beige and black tones, while frequent pops of greens, blues, yellows, orange and camel tones come to add a summery feel to the designs presented. While most of the looks took the monochrome and minimalist turn, there were also pieces that showed a flirty play of color blocking and classic prints and patterns, like the bold snakeskin pattern adorning the classic leather coat (snakeskin is apparently going to the hottest animal pattern in the new season).
Alongside the understated elegance and simplicity, the collection also bears traces of playfulness brought to life through slight hints of fringing, some modest shimmery fabrics and delicate motifs of volume. Still, all the looks presented are adorned with a high dose of strictness and modesty: the lengths are below the knee and you’ll hardly see much flesh there. On the other hand, the body-conscious designs, the cute halter necks, the delicate pleats and beautiful print and color combinations boost the modern feel of the Salvatore Ferragamo spring/summer 2015 collection sky high!
Feminine skirts and dresses are the focus of the Salvatore Ferragamo spring 2015 collection, however, you can also find stylish pair of culottes with oversized legs that often make them look like skirts. Especially amazing was the duo of the camel leather culottes and the military-style jacket, which was skillfully accessorized with Geisha-style platform sandals and a roomy leather bag. In addition, the collection brought pretty stylish alternatives of outerwear, all designed to put the focus on elegance and feminine shapes.

The most unexpected part of the Salvatore Ferragamo spring/summer 2015 collection show was perhaps the choice of the footwear, which totally contradicted to the classic style of the looks. Almost all the looks presented were accessorized with towering platform sandals bearing Japanese motifs, which seem to be securing their top positions among the spring 2015 shoe trends. We also saw belts accentuating the waists of the models, stylish pairs of sunglasses, clutches and elegant jewelry pieces as accessories.
Beauty wise, the show stayed true to the minimalist and elegant style of the Salvatore Ferragamo spring/summer 2015 collection and showed sleek updos and classic brown smokey eye makeup options. Wholly, it was a very well thought over collection, and the presentation of it managed to thoroughly bring out the mood and the style of the designs demonstrated!
