See by Chloe Spring/Summer 2017 RTW – New York Fashion Week

Clare Waight Keller’s See by Chloe spring/summer 2017 collection at New York Fashion Week showed off an eclectic, comfortable collection ideal for the breezy springtime. Inspired by a cross-country trip, the dresses are so varied and different, the accessories youthful and fun while still being practical.

There is an overall halter dress with a bandeau top, made entirely of the same textured, red, blue, green, yellow and white striped pattern material with top to bottom buttons for a cohesive, summer look. A crocheted poncho paired with a poker visor and a bandeau and skirt set of the textured stripe material is finished off with cut earrings and a pineapple necklace.

The overall look is modern hippy chic and free flowing with light floral prints, lace-up platforms and great accessories. There are so many fun elements throughout the See by Chloe spring and summer 2017 collection, a few of which are bell sleeves and lace-up platforms.

The brand made certain to pay attention to current trends and included ‘dad hats’ and high waists. With more than six decades behind them, Chloe is an incredible brand and the clothing is known for being fluid, bold and romantic as well as expressly French in design.

Chloe is a brand with great background as a French fashion house and is owned by the Richemont Group. The brand itself has produced elegant, well-loved designs worn by a plethora of celebrities worldwide. The entire brand was built to produce luxury ready-to-wear items, and was one of the first fashion houses to offer such looks.

See by Chloe is the ready-to-wear and accessories line for younger consumers with a more affordable price tag. The goal of See by Chloe is to be the gateway to higher level fashion for the younger generations.

The designs are floating, gauzy floral creations that are in line with the history of the brand. They have been a well-known conqueror of this type of style since they were under the direction of Karl Lagerfeld, who was chosen by the fashion house to be the head designer. The See by Chloe aesthetic is the Chloe aesthetic with a youthful injection of vibrancy and fresh eyes that can contribute without derailing the brand.

Fun layers on a V-necked maxi dress and a striped shirt with bell sleeves caught the breeze in the photo, matched with white sandals, pineapple earrings and a matching pineapple necklace, and topped with a very on-trend accessory – the dad hat.

All of the collection is fun and light, youthful and energetic and just as beautiful as people would expect by the youthful See by Chloe line.
