Elegant looks and monochrome attitude are the core points of the Sportmax spring/summer 2014 collection showcased at Milan Fashion Week today. The designer of the line, Laura Lusuardi, indeed, did her best and even more to create the desired effect of charming and enticing looks. The sister, more youthful line of Italian fashion house Max Mara gives an airy and flirty approach to the upcoming bright season, bringing languid silhouettes and fluid fabrics that enchant at the very first glance!
Sumptuous black dresses worn under awesome coats of lighter tones like cream and white, followed by stunning combinations of top-skirt pairs made with the irreplaceable touch of grace and chic – these pieces are the best guarantee of star looks at any occasion from balls and parties to red carpets. Alluring and deep V-cuts, nice bodices put under black and smooth chiffon and various sweet shades of peach complement the overall images. The strictly shaped suits and jackets seem to be simply necessary for those super cute shirts and dresses.
Still, the major thematic concentration of the Sportmax spring/summer 2014 collection were the awesome polka dots, huge and tiny, printed on black and yellow, pink and white, and being created by black and white monochrome shades. They were like the message of the new Sportmax line for the spring to come. The strapless sweetheart silhouettes of the garments make the models look like real princesses.
Coming to the other wonders of the Sportmax spring/summer 2014 collection, it’s here that we see the sumptuous asymmetrical floor and knee length dresses filling the runway with their monochrome glitter and charm. However, it’s not only the dresses and skirts that keep the line uninterrupted. The awesome loose pants paired with cute sweatshirts of light yellow and mystique black tones are also worth noticing among the wonderful pieces of the Sportmax collection.
The color combinations, though being within the frames of monochrome conceptual predisposition, are created in a very interesting way, paired with many fascinating variants: shiny black dots on mat background, sweet pink with black, cream and yellowish tones, finishing up with classic blacks and whites. That was definitely a very pure and fresh line to get inspired by!
