Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2016 Collection – Paris Fashion Week

A strong-willed personality is identified in the crowd even with his presence only. That irresistible and energetic aura is enveloping the souls of many superior-force-appraisers who are back and call to reap the sweet fruits of creative mind and diligent working. It is the aura of British iron-willed designer Stella McCartney that is so overwhelming and tempting in order to impel us every time when Paris Fashion Week kicks off to promptly check her runway show’s schedule and foretaste those no-doubt-precious pieces. The Stella McCartney spring/summer 2016 collection just unveiled caused us to forget that fall was right under our nose and that we still had a slew of garments to mix and match for the new season. Damn it! We want the spring to roll up as soon as possible.

Show after show we got to realize that Stella could have changed her life trajectory by choosing architectural design as her impetus. Every single staple tailored and designer by McCartney resembles a precise and clear-cut construction. Geometry in its upmost manifestation is what nails our attention and compels Stella McCartney to move further and further. Her spring 2016 collection is literally spring from colorblock solutions and breezy, light fabrics to the mood elevation vibes emanating and ready-to-head-to-the-beach flip-flops.

The show started with casual plaid and striped pipeline dresses and skirts of zingy colors like Venetian red, sea green and sunny yellow. With Stella McCartney you will never find a symmetrical straight line, a dress tailored from one single piece. It is just а pleasure for her to cut a large piece of fabric into several trails, then work out each trail separately afterwards uniting them into a staggering dress like we see from the very beginning of her runway show. A red plaid shirtdress and the black one with a yellow line stretching diagonally on it feature the best samples of McCartney’s great addiction to launch a challenge against herself only to accept it heartily afterwards.

A couple of striped tight-fitting midi skirts and some relaxing pants were effectively matched with button-up polo shirts and racer-back tops thus hinting us to focus on some sporty accents in the upcoming warm season. Then we witnessed a new addition to the pure stripes and plaids in the form of plissé-pleated tops that were short from one side and elongated from the other side. Striped pants with plissé-pleated tops were soon followed by plissé-pleated flaring skirts again with asymmetrical hems, sophisticated geometrical cutouts and watery effects.

Skirt suits and pantsuits have always been the symbol of elegance and in no way casual and sporty. Stella McCartney knows exactly how to break all molds and saturate our springtime with variegated suits, the tops imitating polo shirts with triangular hemlines, the maxi skirts designed with side slits and the pants appearing with brand new geometrical cutouts at the hems. Tribal motifs at times combined with mesh gave birth to a number of loose-fitting gowns, pants and blouses. Mesh dresses of such vibrant colors as blue, orange and yellow again reminded us that Stella McCartney might have overplayed Tetris in her childhood.
