Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Paris Fashion Week

Bold, elegant, seductive and cute… These are the synonyms for the new Stella McCartney spring/summer 2014 collection showcased at Paris Fashion Week. “I think it’s an honest approach. A celebration of who we are and who our woman is,” said Stella McCartney about the pieces. Well, this is a fair play of transparency and chic. The aim to put “an accent on understated seduction” was more than perfectly reached in this line. This idea is found literally everywhere from the overall looks of the outfits to every minor detail.

The first thing that catches out the eye during the show is the constant shift between shapes, starting with some slim interpretations, outlining the body especially around the waist, further changing to lantern-like pieces, consisting of top-pants combinations and followed by manly suit-pants pairs, looking cool and surprisingly elegant. This diversity of shapes also includes strapless pieces, knee length tee dresses, jumpsuits, full dresses cut at tea level, and cropped top-pants combos.
The interesting play of satin and organza underlies the main effecting background of some pieces. The bustier motives are also spectacular among the garments. Halter elements get their presence mark in the Stella McCartney spring/summer 2014 collection, too, having become the popular symbol of femininity and cute looks. The delicate floral prints on various color backgrounds, as well as the embroideries found on some unique garments, are worth mentioning in the list.

The V-necks, seductive and alluring, make an irreplaceable part of the Stella McCartney spring/summer 2014 collection. One-shoulder pieces adorned with the florals are like small treasures from time to time shining from the depths. The colors are various and rich in this line. They include navy blue shades, brownish tones, some cream, silver, pink, black, and grey. The overtones are neither too bright, nor too cool. It’s something in between, which goes perfectly with the compromisingly selected shapes and accents.
The image of the woman introduced by Stella McCartney is able to seduce and fascinate anyone. So it’s you, who can be her this spring!
