We can always expect something amazing and extraordinary from English fashion designer Stella McCartney, and her uber-romantic and polished Stella McCartney spring/summer 2015 collection presented on the seventh day of Paris Fashion Week spring 2015 still managed to dazzle us and surprise with its incredible style. It’s a beautiful mixture of the elegant and classy with subtle sporty vibes, a style that has always had its great influence on the luxury fashion house’s fashion ideology. Bringing relaxed, yet utterly polished and elegant shapes and super-versatile shades, the newest Stella McCartney spring 2015 rtw collection targets the modern woman, who loves to make a statement with her iconic minimalist and effortless style. Charming is every look launched at the show!
The first thing that catches the eye in the Stella McCartney spring/summer 2015 collection is the timeless color palette, composed of pure whites, soft creams, navy blues, black and salmon pink shades. Generally, blue plays a great role in the entire line, coming not only in the navy tone, but also the stunning denim blue options. The inclination towards monochrome and relaxed looks is the next noteworthy detail of the collection, however, at the end of the show we also witnessed some wonderful nature inspired patterns and spring’s popular checks. Thus, the show kicked off with head-to-toe white looks followed by navy blue alternatives, cream, black and denim blue monochrome outfits that were suddenly interrupted by the array of delicately checkered looks and the airy nature printed options!
We definitely loved the use of the gorgeous keyhole details in the Stella McCartney spring/summer 2015 collection, resembling little windows to the bodies of the models. No less spectacular were the motifs of buckles, especially in the navy blue top, where two oversized buckles were criss-crossed on the upper part, serving as curious straps.
The diversity of textures and fabrics used is the next important aspect of the Stella McCartney spring/summer 2015 collection. We saw gorgeous knitted pieces, denim looks, as well as flowing silk attire options adorned with ruffles, asymmetric shapes, slightly slouchy forms and slits. The array of the neutral checkered pieces kind of reminded us of the pajama style, while the fab chiffon dresses with nature prints using lots of patches made the models look like butterflies ready to fly away and escape from the catwalk. This was exactly how the show was finished, bringing the ideal spring air to the runway.
Comfiness was highly appreciated in the collection not only in terms of the relaxed and easy-to-wear clothing pieces demonstrated, but also the footwear varieties used. We saw only foot-friendly flat sandals, decorated either with buckles or straps, and always looking effortlessly cool and chic. No more accessorizing options were used to finish off the looks, except for a couple of elegant leather bags.
Paris Fashion Week showed us a parade of collections worshiping the minimalist, simplistic and effortless chic style in fashion, yet the Stella McCartney spring/summer 2015 collection still managed to stand out with its unique interpretations of fabric plays, shades and details. It was a powerful way of redefining the codes of the always-enchanting and timeless minimalist style!
