Think Fringe This Fall for Western Chic

Yee-ha! The Wild Wild West may be a thing of the past but the country look is most certainly in and we are more excited about the designs available this fall/winter than ever! Urban cowgirl is probably not the look you want to go for, though there aren’t too many complaining, but the boho-chic is most definitely the right trend if you’re into country and fringe! Check out these uber-cool street style looks featuring lots of fringe for the perfect western chic touch!

The best way to get this look is by adding a fringed jacket to the outfit you’re wearing, suddenly transforming yourself into one stylish fashionista. Whether you decide on suede, denim, leather or any other material for the jacket is up to you.

The spring season had brought in some amazing fringe outfits and we have been mesmerized for months now. It’s not the grunge, hippy look that may have been expected but rather a sleek, fun and sometimes slightly outrageous style that has not lost its allure all year long. Whether it’s a fringe hem to a sweater, or it’s wrapping around your legs, a fringe hemmed maxi dress or embellishment on your coat, the retro Western fashion has made a comeback and might end up staying for a while, if the trends seen on the streets of late are any indication.

Nothing says sexy in fringe if not a cheer black top over lacy black bra tucked into black pants and finished off with a fringe jacket. It’s not playing coy in any way and showing off more than what we’re used to seeing on the streets, but we cannot help but admire the combination, particularly when paired with dark glasses and an unkempt wavy hairstyle. It’s certainly captivating if not downright fashionable.

Fringe on leather is hot, enough said. When that jacket is cloaking and lovely plaid tunic dress adorned with nothing but a belt and peals, we must admit it’s definitely caught our attention and turned our heads. The sheriff’s star on the jacket only adds to the Western-style appeal and has us thinking we’d love to be arrested right about now if the one busting us is wearing that!

Fringe and denim combos remind us of Aboriginal designs. We’re half looking for a dreamcatcher hung around the neck or printed onto either jacket or shirt. It may not be a dreamcatcher on the latter, but there is definitely a print of some sort that, when paired with those headphones, definitely reminds us of hardcore rock or heavy metal music fans. We do like the style but don’t see too many really pulling off the look these days. Then again, retro is once again oh-so-chic.

I think we mentioned our utter adoration for the fringe on leather look, particularly when a leather belt is included with the outfit. Aviator glasses and either pants or skirts look perfectly awesome with the leather jacket buttoned up and serving as a shirt. Boho-chic just wouldn’t be the same without this particular look!

If a human could have feathers, they would probably look something like this particular top. It most certainly is a great match with the rainbow-colored hair and we find something rather angelic about the look. Plus, it looks especially comfortable and the thought of pretty fringe fashion in a comfortable sweater is simply divine! We do believe we’ll be adding this to our seasonal collection.

Whether it’s a fringe dress, kimono, print jacket or tank top you like, or perhaps you would rather a contour waist belt, a fringe skirt or a thread cocktail gown, top designers cater to your fashion choices these days when it comes to fringe.
