Can You Wear Shorts To Work? 9 Summer Shorts for Office

With the warmer weather coming and the temperatures soon to be rising to unbelievably hot levels, we are left with fewer choices in what to wear to the office. If we opt for skirts, we will most probably have sticky thighs that end up producing a rash from rubbing against one another so much. If we opt for trousers, we will be safer but might get too hot, even in an air-conditioned space. We certainly cannot wear jeans, and linen might be frowned upon because of its translucency. So what should we be wearing to the office come the summer season? Is it prudent to wear shorts to work? Many designers have decided to tackle this problem and create shorts that are actually a lot more acceptable for an office space, looking into dressy versions of the classic garments that take over our summer wardrobes. And boy-oh-boy are we happy to see them making this leap in their fashion statements for we have been melting year after year and have been searching for proper outfits that would ensure our comfort and style while staying appropriate to the office environment. We are so glad designers such as Calvin Klein, Chloe and others have decided to tackle this problem. Options for the office you may choose from include some of these gorgeous dressy shorts and cut-offs that are not only pretty to look at, but so very lovely to feel against the skin.

The Calvin Klein Collection black jacquard shorts are a great way to walk into the office and still enjoy the breeze against your legs, an overall fluid fit! This particular pair is cut so that it sits high on the waist as well, while the pleats in front lend it a dressy trouser feel. 2. Mary Katrantzou High Rise Jacquard Shorts

While this piece may be quite a bit on the pricey side, the light grey with light blue on chartreuse and black jacquard styling and patterning is so very worth the cost, and we love the lovely silk lined pants that glow with a gentle sheen and fall to the knees. This was seen on Mary Katrantzou’s spring 2015 runway show and refashioned into high rise shorts with a stiff voluminous silhouette that goes best with a simple fitted T-shirt that you would love to wear to the office on any given day with any pair of trousers.
