There are two Topshop collections that make it out onto the Fashion Week runways these days. They include Topshop Unique and Topshop Design, with the former having been presented on the London Fashion Week runway just today. It certainly is a unique line-up of outfits, including professional and club wear, daily pieces and nighttime dalliance looks, all in one. Within the 42 different creations, we can easily find a few that are totally us and match our personalities, despite the monotonous aspect of the Topshop Unique fall/winter 2016-2017 collection brought to the forefront. In terms of colors, we are looking at generally darker or earthier tones, with the odd pink and fuchsia peeking through on one outfit or another.
There is a certain sporty aspect to the collection, despite the heavier makeup that includes both dark lined eyes and cherry red lips. There are fur lined bomber jackets and body tight leggings to be found, crisp white shirts and silk lined leather jackets, leopard print with leather miniskirts and chest enhancing sweaters, leopard print shirts and cashmere coats. It is hard not to like this line, but it certainly is not the best one seen yet, for there are those who easily surpass Topshop Unique in the uniqueness factor.
However, nothing beats a good pair of running pants, which makes those calf-length tight leggings exactly what we needed for our morning exercises. Yoga? Perfect, running outside? Definitely good. Lounging about the house and watching movies? Why not! They seem positively comfortable to us! Add on a leopard print sweater and you have a winner.
If you want to go for something sexier, there are the tube tops with the thicker bands and sweetheart necklines to consider, along with the high-waist leather pants cropped right above the ankles. Add on a navy plaid blazer and you have a look that men drool over.
With side bangs, blow dried hair and a good amount of makeup added, it is a clubber’s fantasy to see. We do see a few really short skirt hems throughout, with lots of turtlenecks to make up for it. And then there are those awesome houndstooth pieces that combine black and white in stark contrast, giving the eyes a startling bot of awesomeness to try to stare at. It appears on skirts and coats, the latter lined with suede, while the pants look has to to be the best with the tucked in wraparound black shirt.
Along with the black and white and grey, there is a lot of khaki to be found as well, on ankle-length coats and tunic sweaters, bomber jackets and half boots, jumpsuits and so much more. We see bronze in the mix as well, along with the fuchsia, but we love the pants the most here, especially the simpler ones that show off every curve of those limbs. Of course, there would have to be a few see-through looks to make it 2016 complete anyhow, so we get to enjoy a few of those as well, particularly one with an asymmetrical cut leading to a slit up the thigh.
